Jon looked longingly into Sabrina's black-lined eyes. He thought that she was so beautiful, especially with her pink-dyed hair. It made her look kind of cute.
Sabrina knew that she only loved Jon because of the accidental wish, but that didn't change her feelings. Wish-induced or not, she loved Jon. She loved his messy brown hair and his blue T-shirt and jeans. She never thought she'd love a non-Goth guy's appearance this much, but that's what was happening right now.
"I've gotta go to my next class, so I'll see you later. Okay?" Jon said, breaking away from his "new" girlfriend.
She smiled. "I'll be waiting."
As Jon walked down the hall in one direction, Sabrina walked in the other direction. On her way, she spotted Melissa walking towards her. She had earphones on, presumingly listening to music.
"What are you listening to?" she asked.
Melissa pulled her earphones out of her ears. Sabrina could hear tinny metal music blasting from the earphones. "What did you say?" Melissa asked.
"What are you listening to?" she asked again.
Trapped in Goth Melissa's mind, the real Melissa yelled. It's horrible! Tell me to turn it off! she yelled out, as if anyone could hear her. Goth Melissa, on the other hand, happily told Sabrina the name of the band. Then she said something that bothered the real Melissa more than listening to the metal music. "I have to get my inspiration from somewhere."
Inspiration? Inspiration for what? the real Melissa thought.
"Do you play the guitar?" Sabrina asked.
Melissa made an odd look. "You know that I do. I've been playing for years."
"Oh. Yeah, of course."
That got the real Melissa's attention. This was the first time that someone else reacted wrongly to Melissa's possessor. Unfortunately, she wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing. She could only wait and see how things played out.
"Are you gonna play at Steve's party?" Sabrina asked.
"He hasn't asked me, but I'll bring my gear with me anyway."
"Cool. Can't wait to hear you play."
Then Melissa's body started walking down the hall again. She put the earphones back in her ears, forcing the real Melissa to listen to the blasting heavy metal music. Make it stop!! she yelled as loud as she could. But just as always, no one heard her.
