Karyn's body wasn't particularly big, but even so it quickly became evident that she was big enough to overpower Mikey. Nevertheless, Mikey still had possession of the stone, and knew he had to make a wish if he wanted to keep it.
"I wish you were smaller than me!" Mikey wished.
Suddenly, Jon in Karyn's body found herself being pinned to the ground by what appeared to be a much larger Mikey.
"What did you do to me!" Jon practically screamed.
"Oh God," Karyn said, just now recovering from his stupor and finding words, "you totally look like I did when I was a kid."
Jon was in no position to assess her new age, but Karyn thought she looked like she couldn't be more than eight years old. She was still wearing the same overalls and green tee-shirt she had been, only scaled down to her new size. Her hair was also much longer, as Karyn's mom used to like her to wear it when she was little.
Karyn was trying to figure out how he should proceed. He wanted to get the stone from Mikey, but he also didn't want to risk Mikey making another hasty wish to keep it. Unfortunately, he waited a bit too long, and Mikey did just that anyway.
"I wish you were the same age as she is!" Mikey wished, looking up at Karyn.
Karyn suddenly found himself in the body of an eight year old Jon.
"You have to stop this!" Jon insisted, "Wished can't be reversed. If you aren't careful, we could be stuck like this!"
Mikey wasn't a bad kid or anything, and he didn't want to hurt Jon and Karyn. Jon had always been a good brother to him, and he had a little crush on Karyn. He didn't want to risk losing the stone either, so he made one final wish before letting Jon up.
"I wish you two wouldn't be able to take the stone away from me," He said as he got up off of Jon.
Once let go, Jon went and stood by Karyn. Neither of them could bring themselves to try to take the stone from Mikey.
"Mikey, you have to stop this!" Jon insisted, "things are already way too messed up. Me and Karyn already accidentally swapped bodies, and now you've turned us into little kids. We have to find a way to fix this!"
Mikey had already begin to suspect from their earlier conversation that Jon and Karyn had swapped, though he was still a bit surprised when the suspicion was confirmed. He wanted to help them and started to try to think of a way to fix them.
Then he realized something. He had always had a crush on Karyn, but he knew he never had a chance because she was so much older. Now she was a kid like him, maybe even a bit younger. Sure it was Jon in her body, but he could fix that too, sort of.
"Okay, I've got an idea!" Mikey said.
"Don't do anything rash," Karyn replied, but it was too late.
"I wish that Jon in Karyn's body would answer to the name Karyn and act exactly like a girl version of Jon."
"Stop making wishes," the new Karyn demanded, stomping her foot and folding her arms in a fashion Mikey thought fitting of a young girl. He could also see tears starting to form in her eyes, though she was trying very hard to hold them back.
"You'd better not wish for me to act like a boy!" the original Karyn insisted.
"I'm not," Mikey said with a smile, "I wish Karyn in Jon's body was a girl instead of a boy and answered to the name Jane."
The new Jane was actually a bit relieved to be back in a girl's body, but she also immediately worried about "Karyn". Since wishes couldn't be reversed, her body was now stuck as a girl's.
"See, everything's all better!" Mikey exclaimed.
"Everything is most certainly not all better!" Karyn replied, her voice beginning to crack, "I don't want to be a little girl. I'll never forgive you for this!"
Mikey was hurt by what Jon now Karyn said, but he knew he could make her forgive him. He also knew he finally had not only a chance but a near guarantee with Karyn.
"I wish that you would forgive me and that you were in loved with me!"
"Mikey, what did you do!" Jane shouted at him.
Karyn, on the other had, suddenly felt at peace with the situation. She knew Mikey was just trying to help. He was always so nice like that. She really truly did love him.
"It's okay, Jane," Karyn said, "Mikey's going to make everything alright!"
"Mikey," Jane said, "please, please stop making wishes. You can't just keep changing things. Poor Karyn might not ever be the same again!"
"But I don't want to be like I was," Karyn insisted, "Mikey was really smart to transform us like this. We can all be friends now!"
"See, it'll be awesome!" Mikey exclaimed.
"Look," Jane said, "Me and Karyn can't stop you from doing anything else. Just realize that that stone is way too powerful to keep making wishes without thinking about them. Please just promise me we'll wait a while and think about it before you make anymore wishes. Okay?"
Mikey decided that what Jane was saying made sense and agreed. While he took the stone to his room for safe keeping, Jane dragged Karyn into what was now her room. Once Jane locked the door, she turned around and wrapped her arms around Karyn.
"I'm so sorry he did this to you!" Jane said, almost crying.
"It's really okay," Karyn said, "If he didn't make me a girl his age, he probably wouldn't ever have wanted to be with me. I really, really like him!"
"Think about this, Karyn," Jane replied, "You know that you only feel that way because of a wish! You heard it! He's just manipulating you!"
"You don't know him like I do!" Karyn insisted, starting to get angry, "I grew up with him. I know how sweet and amazing he can be. So what he made a couple of wishes! He just did it to make us happy!"
With that, Karyn stormed out of the room and went to find Mikey. Jane, on the other hand, was left to try to figure out what to do next.
