Jon looked at Karyn bewildered, she looked oddly like and unlike herself. Like her if she was Sarah. If there was a way that something like that made sense at all, it was in looking at her.
"I wish i knew how this happened to you to make you this way, so i could fix it." Jon said.
Then suddenly a flash, and Jon knew what the stone had done.
"Oh my God that's wrong!" he yelled.
"What? What happened?" Karyn asked.
"It swapped you at birth, sort of."
"You mean I've grown up like this in this reality? Why don't i...Oh yeah i guess my old mind was supposed to overwrite this one, that's not helpful at all to me right now though."
"No not at birth, at prebirth, when you were about 3 weeks into developing in your mothers womb, it swapped you and the woman who would have been Sarah's mom. You then proceeded to live the life that she would have lived, and she lived yours, just your own way, but you still ended up meeting Sarah's Dad and falling in love with him and having Sarah. Karyn your a McMillan now!"
Karyn was taken aback, she didn't remember any of that, she didn't think of Sarah as her daughter, even though thinking of Sarah did make her oddly emotional in strange ways, She was...Proud? Clearly she had her mind but not her same heart, this body must be conditioned to love Sarah.
So what does that mean for Sarah's Mom?
They were about to find out.
