Just as Zoe and the cheerleaders disappeared from her view Sarah heard someone call her name. She turned to see Athena walking towards her looking happy to see her for once. Athena had been Zoe's best friend, Sarah remembered that much. It seemed to Sarah that she now had Zoe's life did that mean that Athena was now her best friend. No she couldn't be best friends with a freak like Athena could she?
"You forgot didn't you?" Athena asked her friend. "Forgot what?" Sarah asked in reply still not quite sure what was happening. "Thought so. We agreed on the phone last night that we were going to ditch this class and go and find me a replacement crystal as mine got smashed yesterday by that cheerleader bitch Zoe." Athena told Sarah.
Sarah then remembered gym class yesterday when her and Athena had been arguing as usual and Sarah had pushed so hard that she had fallen over and broken her precious crystal. Then a second later she remembered the incident slightly differently the fight had still happened and the crystal was still broken but this time it was Zoe who had shoved Athena. How could she remember the same fight two ways.
The more she tried to remember that it had been her that had pushed Athena the more she remembered it being Zoe. Something was definately wrong but what?
"Can we stop playing games and go? Zelda's waiting for us." Athena asked her friend before grabbing her by the hand and leading her towards the front of the school.
