Athena awoke, as if from a dream, half remembering, half disoriented, with a Journal in her hands, leather bound, with paper of a very high quality. She didn't have this before, she had looked, the only thing she had found was the sketchbook, and the only writing in that was of measurements and ideas. This was a journal, a history of Beth's emotions and thoughts.

She looked over, it was late, she hadn't slept long, and the clock now read 4 am.

She cracked open the book, on the front page was written,
"Be Yourself and Make us Proud. - Mom."
And so Athena read. She read about a girl who had grown in the shadow of diva, who was the daughter of a diva, and yet somehow was not a diva. She read of a girl who felt the pressure to be great, of a person living under the pressure of expectations, to be pretty, which she was naturally, to be popular, which she found there was a plan to be, Beth saw Sarah as queen of the popular kid side of school, Beth had intended on being popular with everyone else, the drama kids and the goths and the band geeks and the nerds even, that was who she had picked as her tribe, and she would be treasured by them as Sarah was loved and feared by the cheerleaders, jocks, preps and most of the male population.

It was this desire, this goal of popularity, which had driven her to fashion, to making dresses and the like, She would become the superstar artist of the school, intellectual, smarmy, cutting edge, and daring. This was very clearly something she thought a lot about from how often she wrote about it.

Eventually she fell asleep again while reading, causing the second, and more natural dream of the night.
