Athena left school, signing out at the front desk, Athena McMillan as if it was nearly natural to do so, in a handwriting that was more polished than her own, she would have to look into this.

As she walked home she thought about Biff and the notes and the conversation they had. He didn't think she was a witch, which means she wasn't one anymore. Why? Also he knew that she wanted to be called Athena, which mean that she somewhat knew him, even though she wasn't a Goth anymore, she still had some Goth friends. That was a major change from Sarah, who hung manly with the Prep/Cheerleader crowd. So she was part of the family, and clearly that had influenced who she was, but she still had her freedom, she didn't need to end up like Sarah, who could be a bit of a stuck up bitch.

Even that seemed to have changed though, she seemed nicer before. For a second she thought that she might have become nicer, but once again seeing her reflection and feeling the breeze on her exposed legs, she realized that it was more probably that She had just become more like Sarah, richer, prettier, more fashionable. Sarah was probably the same Sarah as before, she just wouldn't have to deal with as much from her, or maybe she would just in a different way.

She thought of her Former best friend Zoe. Was she still friends? Did she have new friends? Walking home was a long walk, but it gave her time to think, and by the time she reached the gates of her neighborhood, (which she had found thanks to the permit in her purse, she wouldn't turn 16 for 3 more months and had no car, though she was sure in this new world her parents had one waiting) Her mind was swimming with thoughts, she had no memory of this walk and yet it felt like she knew it well. She was used to a different stride, from longer legs and yet she walked with a grace she had never had. She had no idea who Beth McMillan was but she had begun thinking of Beth not as another person, but as herself, that she didn't know herself and she needed to find out, to learn as much as she could.

The sticky note stuck well to her shoe, had not stopped working its magic.

She found her house.
