It took a couple of in-game days, but we got an answer. We spent the time walking around the airport and getting to know the human staff. They were a bit freaked out by our presence, but they saw we meant them no harm. As we started helping out, they began to relax around us. The general returned in his helicopter. He said "Your story was touching and even the president wept. They have agreed to give you asylum here. However, there is one condition that those that were tepid would not budge on." I did not like where this was going. "What was it, General Ling?" I asked. He said "Due to Landzi diplomats breathing down our neck, they have influenced members of the government to agree with them that you must all agree not to fight in any armed conflict for Eastki: foreign or domestic." "What are we supposed to do? We were created to fight!" Boomie demanded. The general said "I know warrior like you yearn for the battlefield. Alas that is the condition for allowing you to stay here." It was all fine with me. Wideload looked at me. "Are you sure? We'll just sit here gathering rust!" he asked.

As a Player, I knew that there was more to do than just do what you were assigned at the beginning. I said "We accept. We won't do any fighting for the nation of Eastki. I want to thank your people for helping us escape what would have been certain death if we had to go back to Ixiti." The day after we were told that we were free to go wherever we wanted. Eastki was a land-locked nation. I knew what we could do. It would need some help from some humans. I looked at the map and saw there was a small rural village to the south. I was sure that it would be out of the way and that we could set something up there. It was a place called Xuchun. There were actually about 160 people living there. There was plenty of open space for us to walk around and take off without disrupting much. That was perfect for us. The people had to get used to us, but they had seen us by now on their televisions, so they were not too shocked to see what we were. While the others were idling away, I was on a search. I needed a specific kind of people to help me out here. I was looking for a good frontman.

Just because we could not join or fight for the military did not mean we could not fight for ourselves. That meant a forming a mercenary company. However, you needed money and licensing to be able to do that. We needed at least 2 humans that would be able to secure access to those licenses and actually had an address we could use as an actual base of operations. That also meant that they needed to be fine with mercenary work. I was looking for young punks that had elder connections. Maybe they could point me in the right direction. Worse case scenario, some down and out deadbeats that had nothing to lose but still looked clean enough to get the paperwork approved would do. Luckily, I found some guys at the edges of town at night. They had a suitcase and were looking side to side. A car with black tinted windows pulled up and they moved to it. There was a brief exchange. They got a brief case and slid the suitcase through the door. The car then drove off. They opened up the case and it was full of cash. I found some targets. I then approached them from a few miles off.
