Doing all the steps to manually design and engineer aeromorphs was on the level of the most classified state held secrets. Only 7 countries had the know-how to make and control a sentient craft. Those 7 great technologically advanced countries were spread across the 8 continents of this game world. That meant that each one had their continent as a sphere of influence. Obviously the interfered constantly to get the jump on the others and become the world hegemon. Until then, it was a global cold war. They were Ixiti, Oplixo, Strianya, Landzi, Rusmaia, Treaca and the Lile Uros Islands. Aside from them the only aeromorphs outside of them were just loans given to vassal states and proxies. If we moved to another continent, it would be very hard if not impossible for them to reach us. If we joined with an upstart nation somewhere and they gave us asylum, that would be even better. We could go through all the pros and cons of each continent later. The high mountains of Quailim Kingdom was our first destination. We had to pick up Wideload. He was waiting for us to go get him after all.

Eventually we found him after he let off a few flares to show his location. It did not take much convincing for him after we told him he was on the kill list. "Those bastards!" he yelled as his hands balled into fists. The others just looked at me and waited for me to tell them what to do. I was the leader after all. "We're not going to have much time. Let's just choose the closest continent and then figure out the country from there. Wideload does not have much fuel left." I said. It was true. Wideload just nodded and said a quick "Sorry." From what we could tell, it was a complete tossup between going to Honco or Reuzam. Honco being Landzi's sphere of influence and Reuzam being Rusmaia's. They had no opinion so I just decided that we would go to Honco. They nodded in understanding, and we took to the air again. The flight was a few in-game hours and Wideload was pretty low on fuel now. We had to choose a country, and soon. Landzi was on the northwest of the continent. Eastki was on the east. We had flown there in such a way that we were over Eastki. They were not allied countries.

Feeling that this was as good a shot as any we made contact with the tower at a civilian airport. They were pretty reluctant to let us land, but the prospect of a bad crash landing made them reconsider. We were given the farthest runway from the terminal to land. When we did, Wideload sighed in relief. "I only had half an hour in the air left." he said. We were told by the tower to stay where we were. We were fine with doing that. Eventually, their police came down and humans came out their cars. They were no threat to us and we just looked at them. "Allright. What the hell brings you here!? Are you guys stupid!? Coming to a damn civilian airport!" the sergeant yelled at us. "One of our friends was low on fuel. Besides that, we want asylum here in this country." The cops looked at us like we were insane. "What? Say that again. I must have misheard you." he said in a shocked tone. "We want asylum here in this country." "What are we going to do?" one of the officers asked. The sergeant said "Call the department. This is way above our paygrades." There was not much a single cop could do.
