When Simon Davison's metamorphosis was complete, he was no longer a 51-year old man. Instead she was a 27-year old woman, the same age as Debbie.

She looked up from her desk at the still-stunned Debbie Stern. "I'm ... a woman," she said, hearing her new voice. It sounded similar to her sister's - the way it was, at least. She looked down. She was wearing an outfit not unlike Debbie's. It wasn't as if they were twins, but they seemed to have the same tastes.

"Mr. Davison?" Debbie asked. She looked down at the nameplate on the desk. It read Mr. Robert Grant. "Who is Mr. Grant?"

Simon grabbed the nameplate and looked at it herself. "Grant? I beat him out for this job, years ago. We were the two final candidates." Then she looked around his office, which definitely looked different. All of the photos had changed, and so had all of the diplomas and certificates.

"Mr. Davison...what's going on?" Debbie asked.

Simon didn't say anything.

"How could all of this happen?"

"I don't know, Deb," she responded. "This isn't possible."

Davison never called her Deb. Only her friends called her that. Davison had worked there when she was a student, and had called her Debbie. It had been her nickname in high school.

A man Simon recognized walked in. "Simone, can you get me a cup of coffee from the teacher's lounge please?" He said, pleasantly. He looked over at Debbie. "Always nice to see you, Ms. Stern," he smiled.

They both fled into the outer office. The nameplate on Debbie's desk had changed. It read Simone King. Both frowned.

"What happened?" Debbie asked her again.

"I don't know. But until we figure it out, you should go back to work. I'll see you at home," Simone said.

"At home?"

Simone frowned and blinked, a flash coming into her mind. "You're my roommate. And my best friend," she said, amazed as that bit of knowledge appeared. She looked around, realizing that she'd taken Debbie's job. But she had a different job instead.

"How do you know that?"

"I...it just came to me. Ask me something."

"What's your name?"

"Simone Marie King," she giggled, then covered her mouth in surprise, and forced a more serious look onto her face. "Sorry, for a moment there it seemed like a funny question. I feel very odd, Deb."

Debbie held her hand, comfortingly. "It will be all right," she said. "It isn't so bad...is it?"

"No...but that's what frightens me."
