Steve took a step back, but not because he knew that he might change too, if touched. Frankly, he was really freaked out about all of this and wanted to keep his distance. What the hell had happened to his friend? Danny's hair was longer, his body was hairless, he was wearing a sports bra, short shorts ... he was even wearing make-up and earrings. It looked like he was trying to look like a girl, while remaining clearly male. Even his muscles had reduced, making him look kind of thin, but still fit. Steve looked over at Sarah and realized that while Danny looked like was trying to look like a girl, she looked like she was trying to look like a guy, despite clearly being a girl. Short hair, no make-up, no jewelry, and she was wearing a loose tank top (no bra underneath to contain her DD-cup breasts!), and a pair of loose jeans. She seemed a little more muscular than he remembered. She was by no means a bodybuilder, but it looked like she might have worked out with weights on a daily or bi-daily basis.
"Steve, what's gotten into you?" Danny asked, a concerned look on his made-up face.
"Me? What's gotten into you? You're dressed like a girl, and she's ..." he said, pointing at Sarah "... dressed like a guy."
Danny looked confused, then looked over at Sarah.
"No, you're the one who's dressed like a girl," Sarah said to Steve. "I'm dressed how I normally am."
"What are you talking about? Has everyone lost their minds?" Steve blurted out. This whole thing was insane. Not only did Danny and Sarah look different, but they actually thought that they were completely normal, while Steve wasn't. But it was the other way around, obviously.
"That's what I want to know!" Sarah shouted back. She looked around the park and waved her arms around. "Look at you! You're topless! The whole world can see you, and ..." But then she stopped suddenly when she, for the first time since encountering Steve and Danny, looked around the park. Steve wasn't the only person who was messed up. Everywhere she looked, men were dressed like women, and women like men. It seemed that everyone had lost their minds!
On the playground, young children were playing, but it was the girls who were dressed in pink dresses and the boys who weren't. Women sat nearby, watching them. Shouldn't it have been men? And the women were wearing dresses, blouses, and skirts - men's clothing! It all looked so bizarre! A couple of young guys jogged through the park, completely topless, but no one freaked out about it. And then a couple of young women jogged through, wearing sports bras and short shorts. This was insane! Those women were wearing guys' outfits. And all the women had long hair and wore make-up and jewelry. The men? They had short hair, like a woman's, but had no make-up or jewelry. Worst of all, the men hadn't shaved their hairy legs. That was disgusting!
She didn't know how this happened, but the world had turned upside down and no one even realized it. She looked down at her arm. She remembered that when Danny touched her, he had transformed into his normal self. Maybe there was a way to fix all of this. She could fix all of this. It would take some time, but she could touch every person and return the world to normal.
Of course, what she didn't know was that the world had not been changed. She had. So now, thinking that she was doing something honorable, she approached one of the people in the park to see if she really did have the power to change everyone back to normal (or rather, what she thought was normal).
