Jon woke up the next morning, scared about what he might find that day. He felt strangely powerless as a bunch of weird men rebuilt his world, one person at a time, and he couldn't help but feel his wish was responsible for it. He showered and dressed, and headed down to breakfast to see Sarah setting the table while his mother got the food ready. Many days they just ate cold cereal, or toasted or microwaved something quickly. Every so often though, his mother took the time to make them a full breakfast before she went to work. And Sarah was being...helpful.

It bothered him how much he liked this version of Sarah. It wasn't that he disliked Zoe, but she was a major pain and was always picking a fight, often with their mother. Sarah was pleasant by comparison, although he saw the occasionally bit of bratty behavior he'd expect from her.

He ate his breakfast mostly in silence, watching his mother and brother interact with her like it was normal, and wondered what the reason behind it was. Then he headed off to meet Karyn.

"What's wrong this time?" She asked. Jon looked visibly fatigued....he'd gotten sleep, but this whole situation was wearing on him.

"You probably won't remember....it's the same as yesterday."

"You mean...your sister is replaced by someone else?" She asked.

"That...and it's like...my mom really likes her. She was always fighting with Zoe...my real sister."

"Zoe...isn't that Biff's sister?"

He nodded. "She reappeared last night. Biff is supposed to have a little brother. How do you know this Zoe?"

"I don't really...but Biff is usually such a jerk to everyone...except her."

He paused. "Does the name Meshida mean anything to you?"

She looked at him oddly. "You mean like the person named that in our school? Jeeze...I hate being so behind on what's going on...Jon, if you are telling me that she was someone else yesterday..."

"Who?"

"Julie Meshida...you know, the popular girl?"

"Julie...I was asking about Yuki...."

"Jon, no one calls her that except new teachers reading it on attendance," Karyn said. "You mean, before...she didn't have a nickname?"

He shook his head. "She just moved here a few months ago..."

"Weird..." Karyn said. "She's been here as long as I can remember. I think her parents spoke at the school once...for one of those career days."

He sighed. "Karyn...I know you can't remember this...but you believe me, right? And you'll help me fix this...."

"Of course...but how can I help? You're the one with the magic rock."

"Which isn't working on any wish about this..." He said.

"Maybe you shouldn't wish to fix this if that doesn't work...but wish for some way to find out what's going on...or how you can stop it?"

"It can't hurt...but it'll have to wait. I hid the rock...I figured it is safer not carrying it around...especially now."
