When Benny had finished crying, he put on some music and sat down on his bed with a book, still in his pajamas. His mom was probably right, and he'd just have to adjust to this, but right now all he really wanted to do was take his mind off of the whole situation. He was a fast reader, and one book after another landed in the pile he'd finished with, the day slowly wearing on towards lunchtime.
Jenny, meanwhile, had gone to her room and was playing with her dolls, acting out a scenario like what had happened to her family in the past twenty-four hours. She had always been a bit of a tomboy, and the idea of actually being male didn't seem too bad to her. Of course, everyone would still see her as a girl, she'd been told, but technically, she wasn't one, which she thought was pretty cool - like wearing a disguise, only it would completely fool anybody who didn't actually see her penis. Karen had just finished putting the breakfast dishes in the dishwasher when the phone rang. She closed the dishwasher and picked up the handset. "Hello?" she asked.
"Hi, Karen," her husband answered. "I just thought I'd check in and see how things are going."
"Fairly well," she said. "I think Benny didn't sleep too well, and he's still pretty upset about the whole thing, but he's gradually calming down. Jenny seems fine with the whole thing; heck, she seemed downright excited about the idea of Benny becoming a girl."
"Hmm, that's interesting," Mark said. "Well, at least she's not going to have any problems if we are stuck like this. I think you better have a talk with her and make sure she's not going to pester Benny. Probably the last thing he needs right now is someone wanting him to change further."
"Good idea," Karen agreed. "I'll talk with her before lunch. How are things at the office?"
"About usual," her husband replied. "A little busier than usual, but nothing too hectic. I was thinking about doing a little research about this on my break, but I don't think putting search terms like 'spontaneous genital reversal' into the company server logs is a good idea."
Karen chuckled. "True. Well, I'll see if I can't dig up some information, although I have to pick out and order curricula for this whole homeschooling thing first."
"You do that, honey," Mark said. "Love you!"
"Goodbye, dear," she said. "Love you too." She hung up the phone, thinking about what a wonderful husband she had, and how handsome he was. Much to her surprise, she felt a warm sensation downstairs, and a brief inspection revealed that her new penis was partially erect.
