It was later that afternoon when Jon got home from school. He hung up his jacket in the hall closet, set some coffee brewing, lugged his backpack up to his room, tossed on the floor next to his bed, and sat down at his computer to play a little Quake. As the computer booted up, he noticed a sticky note stuck to his monitor. As he plucked it off the monitor, crumpled it up, and tossed it in the trash, he found himself repeating what he'd read on it.
"I wish I would swap genders with a random member of my family, and swap ages with another member of my family."
Mikey was absent-mindedly playing with his Legos, wondering when someone would read one of the notes he'd placed randomly around the neighborhood. Suddenly, he got a faceful of plastic as his head shot forward into the space in front of him. He yelped in surprise, only to find that his voice was now much deeper. Scrambling to his feet, he found that he had gotten much taller, as well as having matured in other ways. He wasn't a little kid anymore; he was probably sixteen or seventeen years old! He must've been affected by someone reading one of the sticky notes, and there were more all over the place!
Zoe was lying on her bed, listening to Nine Inch Nails, when things felt strange all of a sudden. Pulling herself upright, she found that there was less weight on her chest than usual, and something felt strange between her legs. She stared into the mirror on her dresser. Staring back at her was a teenage boy! He gasped in shock.
Jon suddenly went from looking at the computer monitor to looking at the top desk drawer. He yelped in surprise, but the sound that came out didn't sound like him at all. Something brushed against his neck; he grabbed it, and found that his hair was now longer and in a ponytail. He stared down at his body, only to find himself dressed in a white shirt and denim jumper. He shot a hand to his crotch, but there was nothing there. He had become a little girl, probably no more than eight years old!
