Megan woke up in a different place than he remembered. His room wasn't this pink, and he didn't have any stuffed animals. His sister came in, pushing him a bit. "Wake up... oh, you're already awake. Time for school, honey." School?
"Janine? Where am I?" She frowned at him. "You're not supposed to call mommy by her first name, Megan. You know that." Mommy? He looked down at himself... at a little girl's body. He was a girl?! His niece!
"I'm your brother, Janine!" She stared at him for a moment, then smiled. "Oh, you're playing a pretend game. Okay, Megan. It's time for my brother to go to school." She picked him up, carrying him out to the living room where clothes were arranged for him. A little shirt with a bear on it, a pleated skirt, ankle socks and little sneakers. He put them on without complaint; it wouldn't do any good.
Mikey had definitely done this to him. He couldn't go through another childhood! Especially not as a girl. Mikey had been carrying around a rock in his hand... could that have been it? He'd have to get that rock, and wish for his real name back. He couldn't be a man named Megan. For now, he'd have to sit through school, and try to get back to his home without his sister finding out.
The classes were incredibly boring; he knew all these things already, and tried to ignore the boys staring at him. Something he'd have to endure for the rest of his life if he didn't get that rock.
