Karyn transformed... and suddenly there were two handless boys in wheelchairs sitting there. Zoe smirked...
Until Zoe's mom walked past and said "I'm going now. They didn't need to go yet, so you'll have to change their catheters yourself."
What? thought Zoe.
"And be careful with the food. If I catch you spilling it on either of them when you feed them... so help me...."
"What's going on?" yelled Zoe.
"It seems," said Jon, "that if I'm a paraplegic and I don't have any hands either, someone has to take care of me. And Karyn, whatever she's named now. Mom's leaving the house, and it looks like you've been elected. It's a little past 5:30, so I guess you've got around three hours of it. Plus whatever you have to do after school, of course.
"Wait a minute... you mean I have to change a tube to get rid of your piss? I have to feed you? Both of you? Do I need to clean your bedpans too?"
"I'm sure you'll find out," replied Jon. "But you deserve much, much, worse for what you just did to us. You think nothing of utterly ruining our lives..."
"I... I can reverse it. I wish none of this happened!" The wish, of course, didn't do anything. "I wish you're healthy again." Nothing.
"There's just one thing you can do to mak up for this, Zoe..." said Jon.
