Zoe looked at the stone and contemplated another wish. As powerful as the stone was, Zoe really didn't want to be carrying it around all the time. The potential for disaster was far too high. She thought she'd make a wish to protect her self before giving it back. Zoe figured she'd let her idiot brother flirt with disaster.
"Zoe, gimme back the stone!" shouted Jon.
Zoe laughed. "No way. Make me!"
Jon stepped toward her.
"I wish Jon was a paraplegic." Zoe had said the words as quickly as she could.
The stone still understood her. Jon found himself in a wheelchair.
While he was too shocked to roll toward her, Zoe rattled off another wish. "I wish Jon had no hands."
Jon stared at two stumps where his wrists had been. "NOOOO!!"
"Try grabbing the stone now," taunted Zoe. She waved her fingers in front of his frozen face. "You may never have these again. Just your memories. Ha, ha!"
"You've gone too far," protested Karyn.
Zoe smirked back at her. "Not far enough. I wish you were like Jon."
Karyn gasped. What would the stone do to her?
