The performance proceeded as normal. Mrs. Carter's Caucasian head is now on Tanya's African-American body standing confused on stage, wearing a filly little purple maid's outfit with Max the magician.
Tanya, who is Max's assistant, has her head on the elderly Jeeves the butler's body clad in his 3-piece suit and is happily serving cake and punch to the children watching the performance.
Jeeves' head is now on Pamela Carter's body sitting on a lawn chair next to the pool. From the cell phone he was carrying questioned a woman "Hello? Hello? Pam? Are you there?" Jeeves smiled and answered, "I'm sorry, Mrs. Carter is quite occupied right now. She will call you back at her earliest convenience." He snapped the phone shut and set it on the table next to him. Jeeves laid back, and as Max requested, took a few minutes to relax.
Frank, the bratty birthday boy, sat in front and was a bit embarrassed at the humiliation his mom was going through.
Max performed a slew of tricks and Pamela stood helplessly onstage as his assistant. Max made a bunch of pigeons appear from a scarf, then some card tricks where he flung them at the audience and they boomeranged back to him.
Finally he requested Mrs. Carter to assist him in an illusion "“ "The Head Mover."
At first Pamela refused. Wendy, Max's other assistant carted in a box with some blades onto stage then handed Max a large sword. Max smiled, leaned in and threatened Pamela in a soft voice "unless you want your head to stay on this body, you'd best cooperate " through his grinning teeth.
Pamela sighed and did her best to assist Max. Max led her to the box in which she sat in and closed the doors around her. Mrs. Carter placed her hands and feet through some holes in front and Max placed another box over her head, which had 2 doors that opened in front so you could see her face.
Some music started up and some pyrotechnics went on around the stage. There were Oohs and Ahhs from the audience of kids. Frank was getting a little fidgety.
Max closed the doors of the head box then drew his sword and sliced through the bottom part of the box where Pamela's neck was. He pulled the box off and walked over to a nearby headless fountain statue of cherub peeing water into a pond. Max placed the box on the neck base. Meanwhile Wendy stood next to the box of Mrs. Carter's body back on stage.
Upon cue Max and Wendy both opened their boxes.
Mrs. Carter's (Tanya's) headless body reached up for her head and felt nothing. Her body frantically grabbed air above her searching for her missing head.
Meanwhile Pamela's head was on the white marble statue appearing like she was a little boy with wings peeing into the pond.
The audience erupted into laughter at the two sights.
Frank stood up and yelled at everyone "Stop it! Stop laughing at my mommy!" He turned back to Max "You put my mommy back together right now!" He threw his cake at Max and it deflected off of his pants leaving a slight stain.
Max's face fell and glared at the snotty boy. He collected himself then grinned "Always aim to please "“ especially since you're the 'birthday boy'."
He nodded to Wendy and she reclosed the box with Mrs. Carter's (Tanya's) body in it. Max simultaneously reclosed the front of the Pamela's head box and it looked like a big die. He rolled it on the ground then picked it up and placed it back on the headless neck.
When he reopened the door the amazing thing was that Mrs. Carter body had her body back. It wasn't Tanya's body anymore. The only thing was that Mrs. Carter's head was on backwards!
Again the kids erupted in hysteria except for Frank who felt embarrassed with what was going on with his mom.
She exited the box and staggered around onstage disoriented that her head was on backwards and fell over which prompted more laughter from the kids.
"Oops! My bad" said Max and put the head box back onto her then spun it around quickly a few times. He removed the box and Pamela was a bit cross-eyed and dizzy, but her head was back to normal.
The kids cheered and applauded except for Frank who crossed his arms and sulked in his chair.
In the audience Tanya also had her body back as well as Jeeves who dusted himself off and proceeded to get a dustpan to clean the random cake and cups spilled all over the estate grounds.
