Max and the crew began setting up the stage. Even though it was just a children's party, they were performing on the estate of Franklin Carter, a successful CEO of a software firm.

"Don't you think we're going a little overboard, Max? This is only a birthday party!" asked Jon. As he looked at Max, he could see that there was a fire in his eyes "“ a burning desire for revenge. Jon turned and continued setting up the props for the upcoming show refusing to question the magician any further.

Karyn and Wendy surveyed the backyard area surrounding the stage in preparation for the performance and stopped as they saw Jeeves, the butler.

The old butler was trying his best to accommodate the 20 children running amok on the estate rounds and was working so hard amidst the chaos. "I want a soda! I want cake! His piece is bigger than mine! Jimmy hit me!" Jeeves, the butler, seemed indifferent and did his best to placate the hyperactive 9 year olds with a forced smile on his face.

There was one instance where a girl dropped her cake and ran off to go to the swings. Jeeves kneeled down to pick up the debris and in the process, Frank, the birthday boy kicked Jeeves from behind as he fell onto the mess face first. Jeeves, as disturbed as he was, sighed, grinned, and all he could say was "Very good, Master Frank. Jolly good show."

Frank's mother, Pamela walked by writing down something on a napkin while on her cell phone. She did a double take then stopped and proceeded to scold Jeeves. "What's the meaning of this? Get cleaned up this instant! Can't you see these kids need your help?"

Jeeves apologized profusely and lumbered toward the servant's quarters to get a change of clothing.

"Did you see that punk?" cried Wendy, "Picking on that poor old guy. I don't care if it's his birthday or not, he needs to be taught a lesson!"

"I agree, " said Karyn, "How much do you want to bet that he doesn't act that way just on his birthday. As they say,' the apple doesn't fall far from the tree '"

"No kidding. That lady's a 100% bitch, " stated Tanya in disgust.

"Relax, troupe," assured Max, "I got it all covered "

Pamela Carter was still on her cell phone not even paying attention to the festivities.

The Carter's son, Frank, was a total brat knocking food and drinks out of his guests' hands, cutting in line for the rides, and insulting everyone. Max wondered how he had any friends. "Maybe they were all paid to come," joked Wendy as she made some last minute touches to the stage set up.

Jon stood in the middle of the stage and called out to everyone, "Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! Thank you for your patience. Without further adieu We present the great Mysterio the magician!"

A huge fiery blast exploded from the center of the stage as Max bowed for his appearance.

This got everyone's attention this time and the children ran to the seats set up. Frank pushed a girl out of his chair and demanded that he sit in front since he was the birthday boy.

"Thanks for bearing with me in the first part of the show earlier, I "

Max was interrupted by Mrs. Carter's cell phone going off: "Hello? Oh, Hi, darling! No! Nothing special. Just watching a stupid magician doing some dumb tricks for little Frankie. Yes! He's nine today! I know " She walked off to finish her phone conversation.

"Uh That is, I was merely warming up earlier." He raised his wand and a flurry of pigeons of assorted colors flew from his sleeves into the air. The children were in awe and applauded as the birds flew into the air and disappeared out o sight behind the mansion.

"My, this is a big party. There are so many "

"Of course this is big party "“ It's MY birthday! Duh!" interrupted Frank.

"Um yes... (I can't believe this goddamn brat). I'm going to need a little help with this number, so I'll call my lovely assistance, Tanya to aide me with this next illusion."

Tanya strutted on stage wearing a cute purple French maid outfit with a frilly short skirt and a feather duster. She stated dusting off some of the props.

Max first scoured the area to see what Mrs. Carter was doing. She sat in a chair under some trees on a lawn chair quite some distance away talking on her cell phone and scolding Jeeves, the butler, for her drink lacking enough ice. She threw the drink into his face.

Max began explaining the next illusion to the children. As he was addressing the audience, Tanya stuck her tongue out & made faces behind him and mocking him.

Max turned back a few times and Tanya feigned innocence.

This prompted the laugher of the children watching.

"Very well seeing how you're so uncooperative, it's time to get some NEW help.

He pulls out a handkerchief from his sleeve and covers Tanya's head entirely.

He makes some magical gestures and pulls the cloth away to have Jeeves' head on Tanya's curvy female body.

"My word!" he cried as he was in shock. The old man's head looked unusual on this body wearing the skimpy maid suit.

The kids were howling in laughter.

Max grimaced. "I'm sorry, Old Bean I miscalculated. However, I do think you do need a break, Jeeves. Why don't you take 5? I think I know someone else who can help me."

"Oh, thank you, Sir " was the last thing you heard as Max placed the handkerchief back over Jeeve's head then quickly pulled it away revealing Frank's mom, Mrs., Carter's head on Tanya's body. The contrast of Mrs. Carter's bleached blonde hair and pale white complexion contrasted sharply with Tanya's dark skin.

"What?!" She sputtered. "Where?" is all she could say in bewilderment.

The kids laughed hard at her and applauded.

"Come Mrs. Carter," instructed Max extending a hand out to her, "you said you wanted to see magic? We've only just begun!" (Sinister grin)
