Tanya and Wendy were dressed similarly in tuxedo jackets over some leotards with fishnet stockings, heels, and both also wore top hats like the comic character Zatanna. Tanya outfit was a black ensemble which was darker against her ivory skin and Wendy's Asian body was clad in a red version. They first appeared on stage and did a little dance number to some music. The guys in the audience whistled and ogled the 2 seniors and after a minute, a voice boomed over the microphone.
"Presenting, for your magical enjoyment. The mystical magical manipulations of Mysterio!" (Max chose a more magical name instead of his own)
There was an explosion in the middle of the stage and Max appeared from a puff of smoke. There were a few gasps in the audience as the smoke cleared.
The routine went exactly as they painstakingly rehearsed: some slight of height card tricks, making a rope appear like it was cut then put back together, and water disappearing after being poured in a newspaper.
Jon and Karen stood in the back behind the people sitting on the bleachers. Jon noticed that people were losing interest. Some got up and left, others began yawning, and some started talking on their cell phones.
Jon knew he had to do something to spice up the performance
