At the end of the day, Jon and Karyn walked home together. As they walked home, Jon said, "I was thinking, this stone can grant any wish, right? So, perhaps it could make a second, identical stone, that I could give to you. That way, we could both make wishes without you needing to come over to my house and getting it from me."
"Sounds like a good idea," said Karyn. "As long as the stone can actaully do it. But we're going to have to be doubly sure that we don't let either stone fall into the wrong hands."
"You're right," said Jon. He asked the stone, "I wish to know if I can use the stone to make and identical stone that I can give to Karyn." The stone flashed, and Jon said, "I can make a new stone. Within its sphere of influence, the stone is practically omnipotent. All right. I wish that I had a second stone, with powers and restrictions identical to the one I possess at the time of this wish and that I could give it to Karyn." The stone flashed again and a second stone appeared in his hand. As they got to Jon's house, Jon gave it to Karyn and said, "Have fun with your new stone."
Taking the new stone, Karyn said, "Thanks. I'll try not to change things without letting you know if you do the same for me."
"Sure thing," Jon said and went into his house.
