Jon slapped the alarm as he got out of bed. As he was taking his shower, he remembered that Karyn was planning on making a wish. He wondered what she would wish for, but, having not heard the wish, he realized he wouldn't know what she had changed.
As the warm water drizzled over him he rubbed an extra amount of mane and tail shampoo into the corse hairs of his sandy blond equine tail. It had taken some abuse yesterday and he knew it would take longer to bush out this morning. Shutting off the water he used a thick three fingered hand to wipe the steam off the mirror. His wet chestnut fur gleamed and he snorted a bit as he flicked the water off his long ears.
Did he look more buff? Nah, Karyn wouldn't wish for that, it would be redundant for a Clydesdale like himself. He wondered what it would be like if she wished he were human like her. That would be interesting, being small and having such dexterous fingers. He picked up a large brush and started coming out his tail. It felt good, and for a moment he zoned out as the soft strokes pulled rhythmically on his tail until he hit a knot. "Ouch!" He struggled with it and finally got the kink out. Looking up he saw that he only had a few minutes before he needed to pick up Karyn to take her to school. He shook himself dry, threw on some nice cargo shorts and checked his horseshoes for any loose nails before rushing out the door.
His sire and dam looked up from their grazing as he rushed by, but Zoe kept her nose to the clovers. Jon sighed, perhaps Zoe's goth look is what Karyn changed. He wouldn't wear that much extra tack without a wish fore sure. He gave them all a quick wave, jumped the fence and hoofed it down the cobblestone road to Karyn's.
