"I wish that the previous wish I am thinking about be undone now."
The stone produced its usual flash causing Jon to close his eyes. When he looked up Karyn was still sitting on his bed, but now her clothes showed off next to nothing and her pose was much less provocative. She looked up at him expectantly. "So, did it work? I don't feel any different."
Jon smiled at her. "It worked perfectly. It's amazing how it was a big shift in some ways but not a lot changed because of it."
"Okay, I believe I remember you promising to let me in on the secret. So spill it, Jon-boy. Did I have two heads? Extra big breasts? Wheels for legs? What?"
Jon raised an eyebrow, not sure if wanted to give Karyn the stone after that list of weirdness. "Um, I guess I could describe it, but how about you see it for yourself. I wish that Karyn can remember the events of today as though she heard my previous wish."
The stone flashed again, though not a blindingly bright as before. Karyn blinked and dropped her jaw as the oddities of the day came into focus for her. "Wow," was all she could say at first. Then she looked at him, "You're damn lucky I didn't end up in a dress bouncing around like those cheerleaders."
Jon did feel lucky for that, but also saw the smile creeping across her face. "Oh, come on, you would have looked great in a frilly skirt with tons of barbie-pink lip gloss and, Ow!" Jon failed to not dodge the pillow Karyn threw at him. A brief stuggle ensued that left them both on the floor laughing.
As they calmed down Karyn reached over and kissed Jon's cheek.
"What was that for?" Jon asked, though not complaining.
"I was feeling a little over-sexed by the end of the day. Nothing serious, but thanks for not trying to take advantage or anything."
Jon considered that for a moment. "So hypathetically, how much advantage could I have..Ah!" The question earned him a poke in the ribs and another pillow to the face. He brushed the pillow aside to see Karyn standing over him with the rock in her hand. "Do you know what you're going to wish for?" Jon asked carefully. "And are you sure you are alright with the working to make it non-permanent?"
"Yes and yes," Karyn answered. She put the rock in her bag and gathered the rest of her stuff.
"Wait, you're not making the wish now?"
"Of course not," Karyn responded with a smile. "Then you'd know what it was and I wouldn't get to see your reaction at the end of the day. It'll be fine, Jon. I'll make one wish that will have a sweeping, but not overly profound effect. I'll make sure that it's only for a day, and I promise I'll let you in on what happened afterwards."
"I guess I'll find out then. I do admit that I'm nervous, but I trust you Karyn."
Karyn stopped by his door and smiled at him before leaving. Jon was not sure what that smile meant, but it felt more like a good thing than a bad. All he could do now was wait for whatever change tomorrow brought.
