Karyn looked around the bedroom, waiting for Jon to come back. Then a moment later, the door opened and there was Jon with a smile on his face.
"Did you wish for something?" she asked.
Jon nodded.
"Really?" She looked around the room, at herself, then at Jon. "Everything seems normal. Are you sure you wished for something?"
"Definitely," he said.
Karyn was stumped, but that was what Jon expected. A moment later, she shrugged and sighed. "You're not going to tell me, are you?" she asked.
"Nope."
She remembered how in the last reality she created, she thought it was funny that Jon could never figure out what was different, even though it was obvious (to her). But now that the shoe was on the other foot, she was pretty frustrated by it. Because everything really did seem normal. Maybe he was just pulling her leg, and hadn't actually wished for anything?
"So ..." Jon said. "Have you thought about who should be the third member of our threeway?"
"I have a few ideas. How about Melissa Smith? Or maybe Melony Tyne? They're both hot. What do you think?" Melissa was a white girl on the cheerleading squad, and Melony was a black "girl next door" type of girl.
"Too bad we couldn't take both of them," Jon said.
"A fourway? That's kind of weird, Jon. Almost as weird as it just being the two of us."
"Yeah, I guess you're right," Jon said, smirking to himself. Amazing. Karyn actually thought that people having a threeway relationship (always one male and two females) was completely normal. That was Jon's wish. He made it so that it was common social practice to have one man have a relationship with two women at the same time, together. And when people got married, a man was married to two brides at the same time. A man marrying just one woman was considered strange now.
"So which one do you want?" Karyn asked. "I'm okay with either one."
