"You okay, Karyn?" Jon asked, seeing his girlfriend coming out of the school, looking flustered.
"Yeah, I'm okay. I just had a run-in with Sarah," she said.
"What did she want?" Jon asked.
"It's nothing. I just want to forget about the whole thing. Why don't we focus on what you want to do now that the school day's over? You want to get something to eat? Maybe go to the mall?"
Jon giggled.
"What's so funny?"
"I never remember you being so eager to go shopping. That's more my thing," Jon said.
"Okay, then how about something to eat? Maybe Burger King, or ..."
"Burger King? I think you mean Burger Queen, right?" Jon asked, an odd look on his face. "Or maybe you mean Dairy King." He shook his head. "Whichever you mean, I'm not sure I'm really hungry right now. If anything, I want to go home and change out of these slutty clothes, and get something more normal on. You know?"
"Oh, yeah. Of course," Karyn said.
Jon nodded, then both of them headed back to his house. On the way, Karyn spotted a few restaurants, and sure enough, there was a Burger Queen (this reality's version of a Burger King), a Dairy King (this reality's version of a Dairy Queen), a Wendell's (this reality's version of a Wendy's), and a Wieners (this reality's version of a Hooters), among other ones.
When they finally made it to Jon's house ...
