As she got to the food court, she ordered something to eat and sat, pulling a library book out of her bag and reading it.
She sat there for about thirty minutes, drinking a soda, and eating her snack while reading the fantasy book.
Finally, she paused for a moment and took off her glasses to clean them. Wait ...glasses? Sarah suddenly realized something was wrong.
She rushed to the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. Staring back at her was a stranger, yet one who seemed very familiar. It was definitely her, but shorter and..well...fatter. Much fatter. Her blonde hair was short. It was neat, but not styled.
The same could be said of her clothes. They were a grey t-shirt and pants...typical teenage clothes, if larger than normal. Neat, but not fashionable.
The most disturbing part to Sarah was the tiny voice in her head, telling her that being the girl in the mirror was who she was...and part of her finding nothing wrong with that.
