"Not exactly?" replied Karyn.
"No, Karyn, could you please leave us alone for a few minutes? I think I can fix it..."
"Okay, but... Wait, you want me to leave because you're going to wish something and you want me to think it's normal, is that it? I don't want you to fiddle with my head."
"Karyn," explained Jonnie, "you can trust me. I'm trying to fix some fiddling. Besides, if I wanted to hurt you I had all night to do it in, or I could just wait until you have to go. Or I could wish you forget right here."
"You better not..." said Karyn. "No, forget it. You're right. See you in five." She left and closed the door.
"Whew," thought Jonnie. She leaned over to Jen. "Hey, sis?" she said. "You'd better wake up."
"What is it?" muttered Jen. Jen's voice sounded strange to Jonnie, like her own but different, since your own voice never sounds like it sounds to other people. Yet somehow it seemed perfectly natural. "Did I oversleep? It never occurred to me that making us twins meant we could wake each other up."
"We got the wish wrong when we were Jon," she explained. "The stone made it so that we were lovers, since we were in the same bed. We have to wish that part away. Karyn just came and I don't want her to get any weird ideas."
"Yeah," said Jen. "I can see the problem..."
"This should be easy." Jonnie picked up the stone. "I... we... wished to become twins. We never said where the twins were... we didn't have to be in the same bed. I wish that when Jon made the wish to become two people, he became two people in two rooms and we're just in the same room now because one of us walked."
The stone flashed. Jonnie yelled out, "Karyn, you can come back!"
When Karyn entered, she said "What was all that about? Did you fix whatever you wanted to fix?"
"It depends," said Jonnie. "Are we lesbian lovers?"
"I should hope not," said Karyn. "You don't see straight girls getting into bed with their brothers, except in bad porn. Why would you two do it with each other?"
"There you go," said Jen. "Jonnie fixed it."
"You mean you used to be lovers?" asked Karyn. "Ugh."
"No," said Jonnie. "We..." She considered, did she want to tell Karyn everything?
