The next morning, Jonnie woke up to see Karyn standing next to her bed.
"Karyn! What are you doing in here?!" she yelled, as she frantically covered herself up under her bed sheets.
"Jonnie, it's not like I haven't seen you in your underwear before."
Jonnie looked down at her covers, then back up at Karyn. Of course she was right. It's just that Jonnie still had Jon's memories.
"I just thought I'd come over early to try out the stone again," Karyn said. "I've been thinking all night about what to wish for. But ... maybe I should wait until both of you are up."
"Both?" What was she talking about? But then Jonnie remembered the wish she made right before she went to bed. She turned to her right and saw a girl that looked exactly like her. She was still sound asleep.
"Yeah, you and Jen. You know, maybe it's time for you two to come out."
"What?" Jonnie said, turning back towards Karyn.
"You know, because you're lovers."
"We're what?" How could that be? Jonnie didn't wish for that. But then suddenly, a thought occurred to her. She wished that she would be split into two people during the night. And both of them were in the same bed, exactly where she was right after making the wish. The stone must have changed reality to justify why they were in the same bed!
"Jonnie, what's wrong with you?" Then she gasped. "You didn't have an accident with the stone, did you?"
"Not exactly."
