The next morning, Jon hurried through his morning routine so that he could find out how Karyn had changed. Despite his wish, he was surprised by what he saw. Karyn was wearing a knee length skirt, white button down blouse, pantyhose and Mary Janes. She even was wearing makeup and nail polish.
Karyn stopped and looked quizzically at Jon. "What are you staring at?" she asked.
"Is that a new skirt?" Jon bluffed. "You look nice in it."
"This?" said Karyn, tugging at the hem of her skirt. "I've had this for a while, I just haven't worn it recently."
"You really do look nice in it," said Jon. She really did, too. Jon had always thought that Karyn was good looking as a tomboy. She was still good looking, just in a different, more feminine way. The two of them continued on to school together, with Jon wondering if anything else in their lives had changed on account of his wish.
