Karyn had always been a tomboy, rarely acting feminine in the conventional sense. Jon couldn't remember the last time he had seen her wear a skirt; it had always been pants or shorts. Jon wondered what Karyn would be like if she did actually act like a girl from time to time. "I wish," said Jon, "that until I wish otherwise, Karyn was a girl, who almost always wears skirts, dresses, and other feminine articles of clothing." The stone flashed. Due to the late hour, Jon would have to wait until morning to find out how his wish had worked.
