The glasses, Jennifer wondered. How do they stay on? The earpieces aren't anywhere near my ears! She pulled them off her head to check. Wow, she thought, my eyesight is pretty bad. It wasn't crippling; she wasn't legally blind or anything, but she could only just read the encyclopedia on the table, a couple feet from her face.
The glasses, it turned out, had earpieces designed to press in on the sides of her head slightly, keeping them in the position in which you put them on. Slipping them back on, Jennifer got up and put the encyclopedia back. Things certainly weren't as bad as they could've been, but this was going to be a difficult month nonetheless. Particularily since she suddenly had to go to the bathroom.
She groaned inwardly. She knew she'd have to deal with this eventually, but that didn't make it any better. Well, best to get it over with. She made a dash for the bathrooms, almost stopping in the mens' room by mistake, and found an empty stall.
The problem really wasn't having to relieve herself differently; it was that this was Jennifer's first encounter with her new female parts. Only the urgency of the task at hand kept her from having a total freakout right then and there, and when everything had been taken care of, she sat in the stall for some time, just staring and hyperventilating. Eventually she calmed down enough to get up, pulled her panties and skirt back up, and exited the stall to wash her hands.
Even that was different, as her hands were now covered in black fur, with her fingernails being replaced by claws, another of those things she really wondered why she hadn't noticed before. Her feet, she noticed, had become fox paws altogether. After drying her hands (she was pleasantly surprised to find that the hand dryers in this new reality actually heated the air they blew; obviously, this was because the old ones would never get wet fur dry, at least not in the course of a human lifespan,) Jennifer glanced up and saw her reflection in the mirror.
She stared. And stared some more. While her new body really wasn't remarkable, aside from the whole fox-girl thing, she was kinda cute. And, in Jennifer's opinion, any amount of "cute" was too much. She wasn't first-pick material, but as Jon she'd definitely have asked the girl in the mirror out. She hoped no other guys in the school felt the same way; she didn't plan on accepting any dates, but if this mild heat cycle animal-girls went through made them - made her - "slightly more amorous," who knew what she'd do if some guy were to ask her out?
