Karyn ignored Lizzy's comment and just accepted the incoming call.
"Hiiiii, Hailey speaking!" the voice screamed from Karyns phone.
"Uh... hi..." Karyn answered.
"So. You called me and wrote, like, something totally weird. Who are you again?"
"Ugh, I know this voice. Why does Hailey Gibson have your number?" Meg asked.
"Hey, I heard that!" came from the phone.
"I think I just had the wrong number, sorry." Karyn said.
"Where did you get this number?" Hailey asked.
"Uhm, think I mistyped or something?" Karyn answered only to realize herself how dumb that sounded.
"You totally exposed yourself already. Someone there with you knows my name. So tell me... Who. Are. You?"
"Karyn Black, okay? Just forget about it, really." Karyn said, trying to avoid talking any more with the girl that Jon turned into.
"Karyn? Seriously? Now I know what's up! We should totally talk later, when you're alone, k?", Hailey answered in her singsong voice.
"No, no, you don't.... understand, she already hung up." Karyn said.
"Hailey Gibson, seriously?! Why do YOU have her number?" Lizzy asked shocked.
"I really just wanted to call someone else before." Karyn apologized.
"This 'Jon'-Guy?" Meg asked.
"Yes, but I guess someone has given me the wrong number." Karyn said with an awkward laugh.
"I'll let it pass, but only because you were crying just now and I don't want to be the one to make it worse!" Lizzy said and hugged Karyn again.
"Enough, enough!" Karyn pleaded trying to fight off Lizzy.
"Aaaw, just let me sink deeper into the warm embrace of your big pillows" Lizzie sang in a dreamy voice.
"Okay, time to intervene." Meg said and pulled Lizzy away.
"Don't be weird Lizzy!" Alice said with an angry look without successfully sounding even a bit threatening.
Karyn was just looking at Lizzy dumbfounded without any way to voice something that would make sense now.
"Jeez, okay. You can let go!" Lizzy grumbled while freeing herself, "if I had breasts like Karyn, my E-Girl Carreer would just skyrocket!"
"You are lacking far more than breasts for that." Meg laughed.
"Yes, the golden locks. I could do that, wigs exist!" Lizzy said with a swish through her bangs.
"Karyn always has really nice hair" Alice said with a voice of pure admiration.
"And even though she has the looks, she's still declined to join the cheer squad. She knows how to swim against the tide." Meg complimented her.
"Wait a second! Is that it?! You're joining the cheer squad, that's why you called Hailey Gibson!" Lizzy asked shocked.
"Noooo, definitely not. If there is one thing that's definite, it is that I'm not going to be a cheerleader."
"Trust me Karyn, we'd understand, I'd do it no questions asked." Lizzy laughed in a mocking voice.
"The day you'd end up on the cheer squad is the same day hell is going to freeze." Meg commented. "Even Alice has more cheerleader qualities than you"
"Oh... I don't think so...." Alice replied in her soft voice.
"Come on Alice, be confident! Both of us, cheerleaders. I can already hear them! Alice Meadows and Elizabeth McMillan from the cheer squad entering the..." Lizzy began.
Karyn interrupted her with a shout. "MCMILLAN?! MEADOWS?!".
Lizzy looked at Karyn with a shocked expression, completely forgetting what she was even going to say before, "Oh jeez, that startled me. What's up with you?!".
"Your name is McMillan?", Karyn asked.
"Sounds like Amnesia got a hold of yourself. No, my name is McHeisenberg... of course it's McMillan. Did you bump your head this morning?", Lizzy said.
"Like, the rich McMillan family?"
Lizzy was furrowing her brows "Well, my big tv is not an imagination. At least I hope.".
"And you?", Karyn asked pointing to Meg.
"Me? What me?", she asked.
"What's your last name?"
"Okay, you ARE being weird today."
"I mean, I just forgot. It's not like I use them alot."
"Why does it matter then... ugh... fine... Ferguson.", she answered reluctantly.
"Finally a day where I'm not feeling like the bird brain of our group here. Karyn, I'd advice you to maybe you should go to bed early today."
"Maybe I should", Karyn said laughing awkwardly again.
She took another look at her phone and realized, Jon, or more accurately, Hailey had messaged her.
Jon: meet me by the locker room after classes 2day, k? W8ing4U!
"Oh god", Karyn said into the air with a loud sigh.
