"Goddammit... what did I do last night, I played around with that stupid stone and now it's gone." Jon muttered while crawling beneath his desk where he expected to find his stone.
He was thinking he might have put it somewhere else in his sleepy state in the middle of the night until he realised what the reason for his wish for a glass of water was. Jon quickly grabbed his phone, clicked on Karyns contact-info and started a call.
"Jon... you did something, right?" Karyn answered in an annoyed tone.
"What, no. I didn't use the stone.... well I did, but that's not important." he said in a hectic voice.
"Seriously... we talked about this! Ugh, so, what happened?" she said in a disappointed tone.
"It's gone..."
"WHAT? Seriously?!"
"Yeah, I woke up tonight with Zoe barging into my room. But it was still there when she left."
"Okay... this is bad. Surely Zoe took it, maybe she noticed how you used it and sneaked it out!." Karyn said in a worried tone.
"I guess it could have happened, but she has left already."
"What are you waiting for, look around her room!"
"Her room? If she has it, she took it with her. But a quick glance might be okay. But wait! Maybe she's skipping school today together with Athena, can you go there and check it out?".
"Jooon.... I really didn't want to come late today. Damn... But alright."
"You know where Athena lives?"
"The house rocking halloween decoration all year? Yeah Jon, everyone does."
"Right... I'll search Zoes room real quick and then head to school and call you as soon as I find her or the rock."
"Yeah, I'll call after my visit to Athena's home. Hear you then!"
Jon tapped the red symbol on his phone and walked into Zoes room.
"I will never understand how mom even allowed all this", he thought looking around in the dark room filled with goth stuff.
