I stood by and watched as they peeled him out of the battered iron armor to get to his wounds. It was pretty great. Using the free time I had, I checked the menu to see if it worked. I was a full member of the Cithrel Clan. I could now finally find a teacher to teach me to be an Arcane Archer. That was cool. It was going to take a day before we had a feast to celebrate this occasion. I was taken to a tree dwelling that was empty. One of the healers used to live in it. I just sat on the balcony and looked into the other dwellings. That was all great and all but there was nothing left to do at the moment. I hoped I could meet someone nice at the feast. At least getting an elf girlfriend would be something to do when not training on the road to becoming an Arcane Archer for the clan. When the feast began, I walked around the new village. Almar and his 2 elder brothers approached me. "Yesterday, you fought with no honor. You are a far cry from a true Cithrel Clan warrior." the eldest said. I just looked at him. They were puffed up for a confrontation. "However, you did spare our brother." the other said.

Calling attention to that fact was a good sign. I nodded and said "There was no reason to kill someone when the fight was over. I am happy to join you all as comrades in the clan. Kearie Clan would not accept me." They just did a once over for me and Almar said "I won't thank you for my life, but I will still extend all the courtesy my father granted you as a member of the clan." "Thank you." I said. They looked more than a bit surprised that I was not being antagonistic and left me alone. I continued on my way and saw a few females giggling together. They were all Cithrel Clan members. I went up to them and introduced myself. Amisra, Cellica and Pyria were their names and they were a bit nervous around me. I did my best to put them at ease. I asked about them and what they did in the clan. Cellica and Pyria were healers and Amisra was an alchemist. She made potions to aid with healing and other effects for the warriors and smiths. I thought that was pretty cool. "Your job seems really important. Do you think you can give me one of those potions one day?" I asked. She looked shocked.

Doing my best to lay it thick, I said "What? Even I know giving praise for good work is needed. From what you said, you have a pivotal role in the clan." She blushed and the others looked at her knowingly. I looked at her friends and praised them as well. "Healing is an art. I am a warrior, but you 2 can actually help people in need." he said. They looked flattered as well. I spent most of the time before the meal with them. There was a row of archery targets for a contest set up. Elves of both clans were getting ready to shoot. Amisra and Pyria looked at them with curiosity. I smirked at them and said "Do you want to watch? I can try my luck at the contest. Would you mind if I did it in your honor?" Pyria almost swooned and I could tell she was hooked. Amisra shook her head. "Thank you, but you don't have to do that. You cannot win an archer competition with elves." she said. I nodded and said "I will do my best to win for you, Pyria." She just nodded her head. I joined the competition and declared my dedication to her. They looked over at her. The other females just smirked at her.

Even if they saw me lose, I needed to show off my skill. There were 7 elves and me competing. We were 15 yards off and we were trying to hit the targets. Everyone did what they could, but I got a bullseye every time that I shot my arrows. All of them were impressed with me. We then went 30 yards back and I got within the inner rings with the occasional bullseye mixed in. It was the best results by far. I won by a wide margin. They congratulated me, but I stopped them. "Thank you for this, but we need to cheer for Pyria. She was the one who guided my hands during this whole competition." We looked at Pyria and cheered for her. She came up to me and beamed. She held onto my arm and got on her tiptoes. She said "Thank you, David. I want to thank you after the feast." She gave me the bedroom eyes and I knew that I got it. There was nothing else that I needed to do as long as I kept close and got her to come back to my dwelling after the meal. Ayred and Sontar came up to me and said hello. It was pretty nice to see them. I introduced them to the group. I actually still liked them.
