As The_Guest says, it's a text-based web browser (based on the older and less user-friendly Lynx browser,) which I use for FB and other interactives because A. it doesn't clutter up whatever session I've got going on my normal browser, B. these sites are entirely text anyway and images are nonessential, and C. it's extremely lightweight and fast, which was important when I was mostly reading on my Nintendo DS with DSLinux some years ago, and I've just been in the habit ever since.
