"Oh really." Karen replied, careful to keep her voice under control, "And just what is that supposed to mean?"
Zack looked at her carefully, "Oh c'mon Karen. Everyone knows that you're well...you know." he paused as if waiting for her to comment. She gave him a far to blank look for her eyes to be telling the truth, "you know a lesbian?"
Karen paused. That couldn't be true. She'd been so careful over time and space to make sure that she wasn't caught. She hated hiding herself, but she knew that she had done a good job of it. Not even Jon suspected, and the two were the closest of friends.
An idea began to form in her head, "Oh c'mon Zack. I am not."
Zack looked askance at her, "All right, Karen. Sure you aren't."
"What makes you think that I am a lesbian."
"Oh c'mon Karen." Zack replied, "Let's face it. Jon boy over there," he pointed in the general direction of Jon's house, "has had a crush on you since the third grade and makes goo-goo eyes at you all the time and you're completely oblivious even though he is exactly what every woman really wants."
"What?"
"You know, nice guy. Strong enough to lift things, reliable, dependable, the real 'nice guy next door' that the movies always forget to celebrate but make good husband material." he paused, "and everyone knows that there are only two reasons why you two haven't hooked up. Number 1" he held up a finger, "Jon is scared of losing you or hurting you, both of which I know you aren't about to admit to or 2 you're a lesbian and he secretly suspects. I'm fairly sure that number 2 is more probable."
"Look, I'll prove to you that I am not anymore of a lesbian than you are."
"Oh really?" Zack smirked, "and just how are you going to do that?"
"Kiss me." Karen replied, puckering up her lips. After the kiss, Zack really wouldn't be any more of a lesbian than she was.
Zack grinned, he had no problem. Even if Karen was a lesbian, she was still totally hot. He smiled and leaned in for the kiss...
