It was Zack Richards, the quarterback for the High School. Karen gratefully accepted his help and then realized something, "Hey...don't you live accross town on Vine? What are you doing walking to school on this side?"
Zack replied casually, "Yeah, but Becky lives on this side of town and her parents are visiting her aunt in Hawaii, so..." he paused, staring at Karen's enhanced chest, "anyhow, she and I spent the night last night with a few of her friends..." he paused again, but this time from Karen's frowning expression, "Now wait a second...Karen, before you go judging me, it was nothing innappropriate. We watched a few movies and played Twister, which was as touchy feely as I got, honest."
"Uh huh." Karen nodded, pretending to believe him. Zack had a reputation as a ladies man at school, consistantly changing girlfriends, but he had also managed to avoid the title of 'womanizer' and she had never actually heard of a confirmed case of him taking advantage of his little 'dates.'
"Anyhow, that's why I'm here. What did you do to piss the ice queen off?"
"I fell almost on top of her. "
"Looked to me like you were trying to kiss her..." Zack's insinuation was almost explicit, "A real shame to waste a hottie like you."
