Jon takes a tissue to stop the bleeding on his thumb, when he realized that he did not have to deal with the pain, the blood, or the annoyance of having a terribly misplaced paper cut. He simply wished it away.

This got Jon thinking about how lucky he was to not have to deal with life's little annoyances anymore. He also started thinking about how "unfortunate" it would be for others to get to deal with more than their fair share of these little annoyances.

Jon then wished for a TV in his room where he - and he alone - could tune in to any person within the range of him and the stone simply by thinking about the person he wished to check in on. He wished that the sound on this TV could never be heard by others, unless Jon gave them specific permission to tune in with him for that 'episode' of reality TV.

Jon then thought back to his paper cut, and looked down in his planner to see what he missed out on in school today, and he smiled when he saw that there was to be an in class graded essay in his English class. He was now assured of a perfect score - something that would have never happened without the stone since the bitchy Ms. Greenwald would be grading the papers using her insane grading scales. Jon thought of a nice way to give her some payback.

"I wish that Ms. Greenwald would get a nice, deep, painful paper cut every time she starts to grade a set of papers. I also wish that she would never make the connection about the pattern of her newfound misfortune," said Jon.

Oh yes, today would probably be a good day after all ..
