Jon eventually got a moment to speak to Karyn. "Um.. Karyn? You sure this is.. best?" he asked worried. Mikey was now in the bathroom. She seemed to be taking a lot of time, and Jon didn't really want to pressure her into coming out.
Karyn sighed. "Honestly? I have no idea."
Jon blinked in surprise. "You seemed so sincere though?"
Karyn sat on a chair, gesturing for Jon to sit with her. The cat-girl licked her paws a bit. "I knew someone who changed when I was younger. She.. he " Karyn looked a bit teary eyed. "Jon, look. It's not something you want Mikey to go through. She's young, and she shouldn't have to feel any angst."
"What happened to your friend? It wasn't.. serious?"
"I- I wouldn't say she was a friend. Just someone I knew." The cat-girl shrugged. "She turned into a sheep-girl from a boy. She decided absolutely nothing in her life had to change and well- it was amusing at first, then it became serious and then it was almost a tragedy. Acceptance came but it was slow. People know what the myst can be like, so there are a ton of psychologists that can help- but it should only become a problem when its a problem. Don't make it one."
Jon took in the wisdom of Karyn's words. She did only want to help Mikey "So.. should I treat her as a girl?"
"Would you honestly treat anyone different based on their gender, or species?" Karyn asked with a flick of her cat-ears.
".. I guess not." Jon nodded. "Okay, I think I understand." Then Jon paused. "hm.."
"What is it?"
"I was looking for the stone. I figured it would appear after I learned a lesson."
Karyn laughed as the tension melted away. "Oh Jon I'm sure the stone will come back at the right time. Who knows, maybe after you've changed."
"I thought you said my age made that unlikely." Jon whispered slightly nervous.
"Unlikely.. not impossible." Karyn said softly. "Just as well, adults- and teens who transform tend to be less adaptable. It doesn't happen often but it does happen. They tend to need a lot of help."
Mikey at this point had emerged from the bathroom. She was wearing a long vest, covering her chest and parts of her legs. Jon noted it did belong to him, and on the bird-girl it looked like a dress. "I- I'm gonna go to school." She said determined. "Could you.. help me with clothes?"
"Sure- we can do that. I'll drive us to the shops." Jon said.
The cat-girl Karyn gave a smile. "Such a brave girl," she said affectionately. "I think I have a few savings and don't mind chipping in too."
Mikey nodded wordlessly. This whole thing still felt like a massive shock but.. right now, she just wanted to go on with things. Besides she felt rather curious of her new class.. what would the other kids have transformed into?
Biff had taken her first steps into the school with.. an awful lot of sniggering and laughter. It was pretty apparent that absolutely nobody could contain themselves as they saw her. Finally the sphinx grabbed one of the laughing jocks with her massive paws, slamming her weight into a locker. "What's your problem!"
"Sorry!" The jock-teen squirmed. "It's just- what you're wearing..."
"What else do you expect me to wear!"
Biff had done her absolute best to find something to dress. Just getting dressed at all was difficult, but there was no way she wanted to look like she was naked or- even an animal. Ms. Collin's did say it was better if she did but Biff.. well.. she had a stubborn streak. Still she didn't think people would actually just start 'laughing' at her. She was wearing a small T-shirt at the top, the sleaves draped without any arms through them near her neck. The T-shirt ended furled downward past the curves of her breasts and seemed to enhance their presence somewhat. However that was not quite the source of the amusement of the other students.
Biff had taken to try and wear a set of pants on her back legs. This was not exactly an easy thing, and she struggled to put on a pair of very loose jogging bottoms. It didn't even reach all the way up as it was blocked by her tail, giving a very strange.. look for the lioness. The leggings on the back were strained by the animalistic shape of her legs, and constantly seemed about to fall off. Far from making her look dignified it only made her look -more- naked by how poor it was on her.
Biff suddenly swiped her claw on the jock's chest. Even Biff was surprised as the jock's cotton T-shirt was stripped like a hot-knife through butter. It even scratched some of the skin, as Biff smelled the scent of blood.
"Don't hurt me!" He screamed.
Biff could even smell his fear.. she let him go- at which point just about everyone ran away from the corridors.
The sphinx looked about the empty corridors.. she stood alone, quietly for a moment. " I don't cry at school." she reminded herself. She just wanted to get her locker- and eyed the combination lock, then her massive paws and the lock again. " never had need for books anyway." she grumbled.
Sarah was just minding her own buisness talking to a few friends when.. a jock came. She was surprised to see a large claw-mark on his bare chest. "Uh.. you okay?"
"Name's James. Hey- you're Biff's girlfriend right?"
"yeah..."
"Heh, I take it you're available them?" he asked with a smirk. This would be a good way to get back at Biff. Time to give the bad news to his girlfriend...
"Well- yeah... what's it to you?"
"I hate to break it to you," said James sound so -very- sincere. "Your boyfriend's a pussy."
Sarah made a face that was almost a growl. "Screw you."
"Hey no- I mean really. He's now some kind of lion-woman thing. Lower body is just some big lion. He's a girl all under there too. Her height can just about reach to my dick though!" he grinned.
Sarah blinked. She had heard there was a new changed being here. A person infected by the Myst. She had known that Biff was turned- temporarily- she was assured, into a kid, and was supposed to get better this week so she had not really considered that it was Biff. "... where is he?"
"Beat's me. That freak's dangerous though. You know what he used to be like, imagine him with the lower body of a lion. Look what he did to my freakin' face!"
".. you probably deserved it." Sarah muttered.
"Heh, Whatever. If you want a real man though, I'm available." he winked.
"Not in a million years."
