Healing up on ringside, we sat there licking our wounds. The guy just chuckled and said "That was your first lesson. If you want to fight in this ring- in this gym- you better be prepared to get knocked the fuck down." That was a fair first lesson. "What's the next lesson?" I asked. He just looked at us and hollowly said "What are you talking about? You haven't even mastered the first lesson yet." That was to be expected. Racists are racist. This was all just a big excuse for him to beat up minority kids. Abner went up next and the trainer softened up quite a bit. It was the same for Myles. When they finished, the trainer had to leave. It was then that Abner and Myles could teach us a bit about footwork. That was the true first lesson. We spent the couple of gym sessions just exercising and learning the basics of footwork and the different type of punches. The trainer always called us up to get beat up. If you called it a hard mode, it was easy to ignore the racist abuse. At school, we made sure to stay together. We all went to 3-A to pick up the Gikrith. His name was Linus Grove. We then had lunch together.

I was asked why I was sticking my head out for the Omegas by Ivan and Allen. "I can see Amias. He's alright You were helping him before we knew he was an Omega. I don't get hanging with Abner and Myles though." Allen clarified. Ivan nodded and said "They fucking jumped you and left you in the street. Why stick up for them?" I just smirked. I said "I am going to milk those two assholes for all their worth. They got us in the boxing gym by posing as Betas. It doesn't hurt to let the small things go when you can grab bigger things." They rolled their eyes. "Thinking like that is going to get you killed. Osis are not going to just give you a good life on a silver platter. There's going to be another catch somewhere." Ivan said. That was true. Allen just shrugged. Since they all needed to take heat suppressants once a day during the onset, they had a packet of 15 pills. Heats lasted 7 full days in a row each month. That meant they had enough for 2 months and an emergency for free. After that, they needed to pay for it. These were effective at stopping heats and had an average activation time. It took only 15 minutes to work.

A cheaper suppressant brand only dealt with the feverishness and reduced some of the leaking of bodily fluids. It took a full hour to work though. The premium strength suppressants were the most effective. They stopped all the symptoms and lasted for 48 hours a pill. It also took 10 minutes to activate. I told them to each give me their spare pill. They looked confused. "Just in case someone goes in heat out of nowhere and you need one. If I'm there, I can give you one." I explained. They each gave it to me, meaning I had 5. I'd keep them in my inventory for safe keeping. It had been a couple of weeks in our clique when we were approached by 4 well-dressed Blaqis upperclassmen. They were known for being rich and being petty, pretty douchebags. "We're throwing a party this weekend at Matthias's house. His parents are going on a business trip. It's going to be great, and you guys are invited." one of them said. "My house parties are legendary. I'm sure you've heard of them." Matthias said as he slicked back his snow-white hair pretentiously. I almost laughed. They then left us alone again.

Jumping right into the discussion Myles said "We have to go! Everyone who's everyone is going to be there." Abner said "Last year, we ended up doing jello shots off of some guy's stomach." It was apparently a happy memory for him. "I don't have anything to wear." Amias said. Amias and Linus were not rich. Their parents were working class and were doing all they could to get them into this good of a school. Myles and Abner waived them off. "We'll get you something. I have some extra outfits in the closet." Abner said. That was that. They wanted to go. Emory said "You guys are forgetting something." That made them pause. "What is it Emory?" Linus asked. "We are all Omegas. It doesn't make sense. Ajax and Matthias might be Betas but Ansel and Jared are Alphas." That was news to me. I did not care about anyone outside my class or clique. "Who cares? It's a party!" Myles snapped. "We care. What gender was that guy who you did jello shots off of?" I questioned. They looked confused. "I'd bet money that guy was an Omega. I also bet that they'll try to fuck you at that party. Still wanna go?" I explained.
