I was a scrawnier, lankier version of myself. I had a pale purple fringe that covered my eyes, but not so much that I could not see. My eyes were a dark gray and my skin was fair. Not a hint of muscle was to be found on me. The avatar fucking sucked, but there was no way to change it. Whatever glitch was going on was not cool. I was just going to have to deal with to until I could get to Suzie. She could tell me what to do in order to fix the mess. An oak wood door replaced the reflective surface I was looking at and appeared in front of me. That was certainly a surprise. I turned the knob and opened the door. It was a bright white light I could not see through. I guessed that I was supposed to walk just through it to get to the game. I did and continued on for what felt like 10 seconds. The world needed to load, I guessed. My eyes blinked and I was suddenly in an empty, alleyway. It was dingy and l walked to the street. I looked around for a few minutes. This setting did not track at all with what I was told by Suzie or what I had read myself in the developers' blogs. The streets had cars modern driving by.
The people on the streets were wearing modern clothes that I saw in the real world. I had to look at the main menu and look at where I was. When I saw that I was in an entirely different world than Ether, I was upset. "Shit! This is not good. Where the hell am I then!?" I said as I bit my thumbnail. I looked again and saw that the sub-world of Jikfan. was a sci-fi omegaverse setting for players into that sort of thing. I was not against the idea, so it was not all bad. Some of my favorite manga and hentai shared the setting. I was not too sure I wanted to live in such a universe though. Looking closer at the menu's built-in encyclopedia. There were some advancements in science and technology to help the world survive certain crises. One of them was allowing humanity to mutate and develop secondary genders. The ability for heightened fertility, virility and a boon to certain characteristics would help out with a declining birthrate. There were also new weapons made to help with wars after we had realized that we were not alone in the universe. That was a big turning point for this world.
Aliens existed and some of the non-hostile ones helped by donating tech that they knew were outdated for them. For us, it was hundreds of years in the future. The new militaries of several countries used them in concert with a league of other nations to repel a force of aliens that were hostile. That was a great sign that us humans could live and thrive in this new perception of the galaxy. The downside was that the aliens that gave the tech were not too concerned with who they gave it to. That meant that crime lords, rouge paramilitary forces, and random civilians all had the opportunity to have their hands on these weapons. Obviously, the well-funded and intelligent were the only ones who could develop new tech and mass produce them. That still meant that there was an underground market for alien tech and weapons that could not be stopped by government. There were 8 continents and 7 ethnic groups on this world. The continents were Jetras, Weslith, Jekrios, Graikraes, Fleowan, Crepela, Shazone and Croran. The ethnic groups were Osis, Nudria, Blaqis, Ganes, Dukesh, Gikrith and Asela.
