Jon realised something was different when he woke up. It was.. actually quite subtle. However the first thing she noticed was an odd weight on her chest-
"Gah!" She got up quickly, feeling the weight move then.. settle. Glancing down at her pyjamas she saw she now had breasts. " what's going on here..." was it the stone? She lept up from her bed, taking in her new form. Small waist decent curves and "Oh please no..." She touched her body and yes, even there she was a woman. "I didn't wish this!" She had a look at herself in the mirror. She looked pretty much like her own sister would. She was still the same age, still human, and there was not an awful lot that made her 'different' really.
She decided to call Karyn first a bit nervously. Her family would be up soon.. what would they say? Finally she heard the phone connect. "Hey Jon, why are you calling me so early? Is something wrong?"
"Karyn!"
"Yes? Who's that?" Karyn replied confused not quite recognising the voice.
"It's me Jon!" She replied.
"Uh.. you sound like a girl. Is this a weird prank?"
"I am a girl! Something happened with a wish I made. I'm a girl!" She repeated stressing out. "What am I going to do? What's my family going to say?"
"Okay hold your horses. Let's just.. take things one step at a time. What did you wish for?"
"Something interesting to happen." Jon muttered.
"Well I'll come over, and we can try making a few more wishes-" then Karyn paused. "Uh.. you should probably look at whats going on in the news. Have you heard of some dance-club where people are turning into animals?"
"No- I didn't wish for any of that either."
Karyn sighed. "Well, something weird is going on I'll come over."
"What about my parents? What do I say to them?"
"Just say you went to that dance club and ended up a girl. Seems like a few people are saying that..."
Tiffany the squirrel statue was leaning back unceremoniously in her bed, still locked in that expression of surprise and shock. She was home now, and though she wasn't conscious of this she felt oddly safe.. calm those feelings started to wrap around her.
"Hey Tiffany " Whispered a voice in her head. "You missed out on all the fun! Did you see what we turned those people into?"
Tiffany groaned. She was back in some kind of mental-scape. She glanced around the strange fog.. giant electrical fences all around them. She also saw huge chains that were tied to trees. "What's all this stuff where am I? What the heck am I wearing!" She glanced down at the cure and adorable school uniform. Her furry legs in view, though she was wearing appropriate shoes. She had a blouse on and a pleated skirt.
"We're in your brain.. my brain.. our brain sis." the squirrel girl whispered. "I'm you unleashed to your full potential. A magical version of your psyche. Pleased to meet'ya!" She offered her hand. "As for why you're dressed like that, blame your subconscious. You probably expect to learn something here."
Tiffany didn't take the hand. She looked identical even down to the fact that she had four breasts. ".. I'm not going to get any more boobs am I?"
"Who can say? I can't!" She giggled. "Look up there.. all these chains sheesh you really are repressed you know that? Can't even take a tiny change in your life. You wear a groove the moment you get a little bit comfortable..."
Tiffany looked so angry. A strange red hue began to emanate from her, surprising the squirrel.
"Aw, you are cute when you make that face." her strange duplicated said with a soft smirk. "Let's face it though, you can't throw a punch at anyone..."
Tiffany.. paused and stopped. "No I can't..."
"Yep, and a bit of anger goes into the anger bottle..."
The red hue started to flow up a solid chain, eventually going into some kind of giant container in the sky. "I can't wait to see what happens when that thing blows. You just might rage against the entire world. A cute little squirrel so mad and angry, I don't think even the fox-spirits could do anything about such a thing."
Tiffany calmed down slowly. "Spirits.. is that what happened to me? I'm possessed by you? Is Michael also possessed?"
"Urgh! Girl, you are trying to reason and find rhyme in things that just don't desire to make any sense. Your grasp of reality is too limited for me to possibly explain it."
Tiffany made an annoyed look. "I'm pretty sure I can understand it. I'm older then I look."
"Ha so true! We sure are! Hmm, I suppose I could try to explain it think of there being a dimension of magic. Nothing physical exists there, it's just magic. Magic is chaos, it is change it requires a will to effect anything in reality. You and Michelle opened the door and got hit by it and were changed."
"So.. like the fantastic four?"
"No.. this is magical- and not so silly. The kind of changes you have depend on the journey of your soul. Where it came from as much as the choices you made with a dash of randomness in it too."
Tiffany paused a bit taking all this in. "Can I.. control it.."
"No."
"No?" Tiffany blinked. "Why the hell not!"
"Your magic isn't the kind that is controlled. No more controlled then you can control your emotions. You can hold it back sure, but you can't stop yourself from feeling oh, looks like you're about to get un-stoned. Try not to let that happen too often, otherwise we'll be talking a lot more."
Tiffany blinked. "Urgh.. what a weird dream.." She looked down at her body. She was wearing some kind of dress. The same one as in her dream. It looked like a school uniform of some kind, with a dark blue pleated skirt and turquoise blouse. The stitching was present to allow her huge tail to hang outside freely. "Michelle!" She walked out of her room and-
into a castle.
"Morning Tiffany!" Smiled Michelle. "I decided to do some re-decorating while you were sleeping. Cool huh?" The fox-woman's tails waved behind her. She seemed to now have three tails, all in various shades of blue.
"Where.. are we?"
"Your house of course!" Michelle giggled. "Well.. our house. I finally got around to doing all the chores. Magic made it so much easier."
Tiffany looked around. It was made into a palace.. "H-How did you make the house bigger?"
"I got rid of the other houses that were taking up space."
"You what?!"
"I used my power and changed their lives don't worry. It's all fine."
The little squirrel girl sank to her knees. "Michael this is going too far!"
Suddenly the fox girl growled and launched herself forward. "Don't. Ever. Call me that. My name is Michelle..."
Tiffany felt nervous.. hurt.. she felt her power welling inside her as all those emotions started to cascade inside her. She remembered her power was emotional based but could she use it to stop Michelle now? "Mic- Michelle.. please.. I don't want to lose.. my.. house.." She mumbled. "There are laws about this- planning permission and- stuff."
Michelle blinked- then laughed. "Oh Tiffany.. poor little Tiffany you know what? Fine, go do your old job, live your normal life- if you can. I live here now though."
"The house is still in my name! You can't just- you can't kick me out of my own house!"
Suddenly Tiffany heard a noise.
"I'm afraid she can." said.. Tim.
Tiffany stared at the person. It was an exact image of her old self! "Wha- who- how- who the heck is that!"
"Your stand in." Said Michelle. "I've finally worked out how to do illusions. This is Tim the human. Just in case I need to do something with you. So you can see little Tiffany, I don't actually have any need of you now. I'm going to re-make this world and bring magic into it. No longer will people lead boring unfurling lives like we did."
".. my life wasn't.. unfulfilled." Tiffany whispered. "I.. just didn't know where it was going..."
"Oh come on. You worked, you came home. That was it. I was looking for work and never found it- but at least I was living! You've got a chance to do so much more and you're not even going to do it!"
Suddenly Tiffany felt her magic just.. explode. Strange auras of energy flowing to their surroundings. A table suddenly became filled with a banquet, the fireplace glowing with blue azure fire. An entire library of books magically appeared and.. the television turned on. Worse, Tiffany herself somehow felt.. smaller. Or was Michelle getting bigger.
Michelle glanced at the TV and the remote.. with a quick flick, she found it was now showing themselves another flick and it was showing some random person walking in a shop. "Hm.. hey, show me my old teacher Mr Gerald." The Television complied, showing an older man now sleeping in bed. "Awesome! Thanks Tiffany. This will make casting spells a lot easier."
Tiffany blanched. "You can't do- this- We- we're friends!"
Michelle paused at that. " yeah, we are. However you're getting in the way of something really wonderful. So come on.. I don't want to be Darth Vader here, but join me! Look what your magic just did. We can change the entire world! Think about it magic for everyone, no more pollution in the world heck we could unlock space travel. Science can't do that so I hear. We could move the very Earth itself once we have enough power. Magic is just the power of the imagination made real.. I've got a big imagination."
".. I.. no I.. can't.."
Michelle sighed. She actually looked genuinely hurt "Then just go Belle, kindly show her out.."
The mouse girl, now dressed as a young maid looked apologetically to Tiffany. "I'm sorry miss."
