Selena shrugged as she stretched onto her new bed, the cat being insufferable as she always had been. Steven was a good human though, so she might eventually let her share the bed now that she took ownership of the best soft place to sleep in. If for nothing else then the nice warmth the human-cat could provide her. It was a bit strange that Steven had become a human-cat, but then again it wasn't really normal for a cat to express surprise of such things. Why wouldn't a human want to be a cat? They probably figured out a way, so this was all perfectly normal. Her ears twitched, as she sensed Steven approach... the kitten probably wanted to demand her territory back! Oh this was fun... maybe she should teach her little sister how this all worked- of course she was still top cat in all this, but Steven was family to her... and provided a lot of nice treats.
Steven carefully walked back to her room with a guarded look. The changed (and still changing) boy wasn't sure what to expect as Selena suddenly pounced on her. "Meow!" Though it was heard to steven as 'gotcha'.
"Ah!" Steven cried out. "You're still talkin'!" he was not hallucinating. She really was talking!
"Always have little one," Selena meowed back, looking up at her human, then started licking her paws. "I take it you want your bed back. Well since you're nice to me go ahead, I'm actually content. Though I suppose I should take some responsibility for you and teach you to catch your first mouse."
Steven blinked. "What makes you think I'm gonna do that!"
"Well your tail is telling me your hungry."
Steven blinked then felt behind her back. Sure enough she felt a long furry tail! "Ah!" She shouted- but tried to keep it down so as not to get her mother here. That was the last thing she wanted. "What's happenin' to me!"
"Beats me, but I kinda like it." Selena somehow snickered.
"It's not funny, I got school tomorrow. I can't go lookin' all weird. Once my mother finds out too I'm in trouble!"
"Trouble? What's that? I don't know that word..."
"Trouble.. you know... like when I've done something bad-"
"Kid, cat's don't get into trouble. We make trouble, and we pretty much run the affairs of all humans. Why else would you feed me and keep me around?"
Steven sat down on her bed, being careful with her new tail. "We keep cats as pets..."
"I think you are quite mistaken there sis, humans are -our- pets."
"N-No... really you're a pet." Steven insisted looking at her strangely.
Selena tilted her head, her eyes going large and black. "I find that really hard to believe. You offer me food all the time, when I do nothing but live free. You are pretty cat-like, but you don't have claws... shame really, though you are but a kitten." She then hoped onto her arm. "Not to be concerned though, I will teach you to be a good cat. I'll prepare some lessons for tomorrow, much better then this... school you talk of. First lesson, this is how you sleep." The cat then curled up in the corner to get some sleep.
Steven groaned. This was... not going anywhere, but she guessed she did have to go to sleep. With a little luck no further changes will happen... she could get through one day of school with her weird.. secret.
Michelle, currently in the guise of her odd blue fox-form bounded up a hill. Moving as a fox was so... glorious! She was quick in mind and body.. her senses told her what was going on far better then that bland human form... the one part of her humanity, her intellect was intact and a strange magical aura around her that protected her from the worst of the elements made her realise this wasn't a downgrade at all... perhaps the form was a little inconvenient in human civilisation but out here, she felt like a god- well- a goddess would be a more apt description. "Hey come on, what's the issue?" she flicked one of her two tails.
Tiffany hiked up the hill, gasping for breath. "It's the first time I've had to walk in a dress okay?!" Tiffany tugged at her clothes. It looked so feminine... the fact of it made her very self conscious. Guys didn't wear dresses! Yet here she was... a girl... a weird girl, with pointed ears at the top of her head too. The stockings helped her legs at least feel warm. Her top felt slightly snug hanging by the straps under her jacket. The clothes fit her look well though... far too well. Her hood rubbed a bit at her ears strangely. It restricted their motions making it all the more difficult to hear. Still, she didn't want to show people she was a freak. Not that they had met anyone yet in the outskirts of nature.
Michelle snickered a bit. "Well I didn't intend to give you those clothes but they are cute. All I asked in my magic was to give you 'fitting clothes'. I didn't have any control on how it would actually make them fit. It's just the way my magic works."
Tiffany took a breath. "So... when you cast.. your magic, it's like you're making a wish?"
The fox paused. "Well yeah, I guess that's about right. I feel a weird energy, I ask for something to happen and it happens.. I just can't predict how it happens."
Tiffany thought hard about that. "I didn't make any wish... not exactly. I mean- I guess I wanted to get out of the bathroom but I didn't out right make that as part of the spell."
"Maybe that's the difference. I can do it consciously, you do it unconsciously?"
Tiffany frowned. If that was the case... she was screwed. "There's no way I can control it... if that's how it works. I can never be around people again..." she was like a.. loaded gun, with magic. People would have to stay away from her...
"Eh, cheer up. You probably just need practice. Besides I had to pay a price with magic too. I turned into a fox."
"You don't seem to be taking it that badly." Observed Tiffany again.
Michelle shrugged. "I think I'm starting to see a few advantages... having magic." She watched a leaf falling from a tree. For some reason it reminded her of that boy her own magic had transformed. That thought... opened up her magical senses, as she felt herself connect to him mentally despite their distance. Like a goddess indeed.. "I might be able to consciously control my power, but I don't have a choice either in how I affect someone. It's like there's a.. chessboard in three dimensions. There's humans on one layer at the top.. I push someone down to the next square, and I can put them where I want..." She saw the young boy she had changed... his form 'falling' through the strange lattices of magic. Nothing could stop it towards 'cat girl' Oh dear he grew a tail already? Michelle sighed as she observed the various twists and turns of his journey. Hm... well making him younger should be the... nicest thing? She blew gently on the falling leaf, as it fell on the grass... So many ways to turn someone into a cat girl... the destination was the same, the route though was always going to be different.
Michelle opened up her senses more... to the life around her. So much life, so many humans. It was like.. well.. the best thing she could analogue it to was if she had figured out how to get free-camera mode instead of first perspective as well as gain all the cheat codes of reality itself. She observes spiders in the trees, the birds.. other foxes, and higher animals that somehow seemed to be aware she was watching... "Yeah... I can get used to this.."
With a thought she was back in her fox-body.
Ti.. Tiffany groaned. It was bad enough being in this body. She was just surrounded by wildlife and wearing a dress. Not to mention her breasts... the bra she had removed- well- it was dawning on her why woman wore them. Suddenly she felt an acute sensation of static. Magic?
Instantly, she didn't feel any further discomfort on her chest. Her hope that her breasts had gone away were dashed when instead she saw a lacy pink bra under her top. She cringed in bewilderment that her subconscious would have such a need. Why wasn't her subconscious turning her back to normal for one?
Michelle however was giggling at something. "Hm... at least I'm not the only one... I wonder if you'll end up on all fours too!"
Tiffany did not have to wait long to find out what Michelle saw, as she feels that pressure started to increase And then, there's something Wiggling against her hand? Whatever it is it soon started to grow larger. Her skirt began getting pushed up a something grew from underneath. Something large, squirming around as it grew covered in a soft coat of fine red fur to match her ears. Free of her dress, The fur continued to sprout out wider, softer, fluffier! By the time it's finished, Tiffany was sporting a rather impressive large, red squirrel tail And Michelle is giggling a little at the awkward sight of Tiff's panties being flashed to the world.
"Looking good there, Tiffany!" Michelle teased.
Vincent looked to the young demon-man with a foreboding expression. "Don't you like the charm?"
Jessica was nervous. It worked well.. to all intents and purposes on the outside, he looked just like his old female self. She reluctantly took it off though. "I- I don't think I could use one of these charms. It would be really dishonest of me to just.. appear like my normal self, when I'm really not" he explained sadly.
Vincent rubbed his small beard in thought. "It's a bit early for this world to be introduced to all the concepts of magic... still... I have a possible solution for you but you have to keep in mind all magic has a price."
"I'll take anything you can give me please... I don't want to be this any more."
Vincent sighed again as he observed her with a strange crystal. "Oh dear... double trouble indeed.. hm..." He thought of how best to undo this. "Well I can remove one effect from you. I can either turn you back into a woman.. or back human... but not both."
Jessica frowned. "Why not? Why can't you do both!"
"It's the nature of the magic on you. Always in twos... Constants and variables.. light and dark.. I don't have the time to give you the full details of magical theory, suffice to say one of these things will be made permanent after I dispel the other effect. Nothing will be able to change it... well nothing that I know of anyway."
"So my choices are either looking like a demon woman... or a normal human male." Jessica whispered.
"Pretty much. Oh, and until I can talk to the council on these developments of this world, I will have to give you amnesia. You won't remember how you ended up in this state. I'll be sure to protect you of course even if you don't know it. I mean every world goes through the transformation somehow, at some point. I'm sure you won't be alone for long..."
Jessica sat down, thinking really hard of her choice. What was more important to her... her humanity, or her gender? It was not an easy choice at all to make. It made her dwell on what a man might go through that a woman would not.. or indeed what would a demon-girl suffer. Heck, would her life honestly change that much if he became a demon-girl? She realised that if she wanted to retain her normal life as much as possible... maybe she should accept that her gender is the more important.
a full minute went by... before she made her choice.
"I would like to be female again," he said. "Even if it means being a demon."
Vincent nodded as if he expected that as an answer. "Very well.. drink this potion dear, and you will soon forget our encounter..."
