Maybe it was just Gary's time of the month.
Jon smiled as he entered the school. There were a few students entering the school at the same time. He got a lot of stares from both boys and girls. A lot of the girls did double takes when they realised it was him. He was dressed so differently from when he last saw them.
Jon spotted his friends Heather and Laura and he took Karyn's hand and led her over. "Hi guys" he said greeting them.
They turned around to face him and their jaws dropped.
"H-hi Jon" Heather stammered staring at Jon. Laura just nodded staring as well.
"New clothes?" Heather asked. Jon nodded.
"Yep. I had a completed makeover at the weekend."
Heather hugged him. "It's about time!" She said laughing. "We knew you'd ditch the tomboy look eventually"
Laura nodded. "What made you finally snap out of it?" She asked.
Jon giggled and blushed. "Well." He said and then he looked at Karyn. "That's not all that's new."
The girls were confused as they looked at Karyn. They had seen her before. They had been friends almost as long as Jon had. Then Heather looked down and spotted them holding hands.
"OMG!" Heather squealed and pulled them both into a hug.
