Mikey thought about that. She was right. How dare his dad treat him like that? And in front of his friends too? Mikey could look after himself and he didn't need to be coddled by his parents.
Mikey was brought back to reality as the quarter ended. Mikey led his fellow cheerleaders out on to the field and started their routine.
Initially Mikey had been nervous at the start of the game but as the game progressed he got more and more confident. By the they had reached the 3rd quarter, the other cheerleaders were looking to him to lead the way.
The crowd applauded them as Mikey finished his move flawlessly. He caught Biff's eye and he winked at Mikey who smiled back.
As the players jogged back on to the field and Mikey passed Biff he whispered "go get them babe!". They were down by a touchdown but Mikey knew that Biff would lead the team to victory.
