"That's right!" Linda said, tossling Sarah's hair.
Sarah was really enjoying herself. Usually, she was alone at home. Her parents were always out doing something. It was nice to have some adult pay attention to her and want to spend time with her.
Meanwhile, down with the cheerleaders, Melissa turned to Mikey. "I can't believe he came down here to check on you. That's like..so embarrassing."
"What do you mean?" Mikey asked.
"I mean...treating you like a little kid. That's SO unfair," Melissa said.
