Karyn had completely pushed the swapping situation out of her mind. After all, there were more important things to think about. A budding romance with Jon, for example.
She ehard the doorbell ring, and, hoping it was Jon, hurried down the stairs, only to discover it was her cousin Sharon.
"Karyn, dear," her mom told her. "Can you watch Sharon for a few minutes? I just need to clean up the kitchen and I'm all free."
"Sure, Mom. I'm just waiting for Jon to come over anyway," she said. "Hey, squirt," she said, smiling at Sharon.
Sharon looked at her. "Want to play dollies?" She asked.
"Umm...not my sort of thing. I only have a little while. My friend is coming over," Karyn said.
"We could play House," Sharon said.
"How do we play that?"
"Well, I used to play the Mommy all the time...but I dunno how anymore...so I have to play something else."
"What do you mean?" Karyn asked, confused.
"I used to be the mommy," Sharon said. "Now Mommy is the mommy."
