"When was the last time you two did something together?" Roger asked.
Linda thought about it, it had been a while. "Ok" She said sighing. She grabbed a beer out of the fridge and went back into the living room.
She slid next to Karyn. "Hey, son...you don't mind some company, do you?"
Karyn made a non-committal noise. "I...kinda want to be alone, Dad," she told Linda.
"Something wrong?" After the day she'd had, she'd like to hear someone else's problems.
"It's Tim. I can't believe he asked Jon out behind my back...and right in front of me too!"
Linda blinked. "I didn't know you liked Jon that way...I thought you two were just friends."
"I...don't...I mean I do..." Karyn said, frustrated.
Linda looked at her. "So, either you like him, or you don't." Linda wanted to ask about her feelings...but it was a subject she suddenly felt uncomfortable being open about.
"How did you know with Mom?" Karyn asked.
"He just...swept me off my feet," Linda said.
Karyn laughed. "Mom? Swept you? Come on, Dad..."
Linda blinked. "I mean...figuratively..." she lied.
