(Author's Note: I'm going to try elaborating on the last paragraph of previous a bit and clear up one issue, and therefore retroactively changed it slightly.)
Sharon opened Sally's drawer only to find her panties in there, but there was something odd about them. They seemed impossibly tiny.
She looked at the panties in her hands, holding them out in front of her. They were pink with a picture of Hello Kitty on them. She held them out in
Sally stood up. "They are much too big for me, Mommy."
Looking at them, though, Sharon realized they certainly wouldn't fit Sally. They were too big. She noticed something else as well. Sally wasn't wearing anything under her nightgown.
Sharon had an odd impulse, and lifted up her nightie. Sure enough she was currently wearing a pair of panties which had unicorns on them. She was very confused. She needed coffee.
"Mommy, are you all right?" Sally asked, concerned about her mother's strange behavior.
"Never mind, sweetie...My mistake." She went back to her bedroom and checked the drawer for another pair. The drawer was filled with cartoon characters and fantasy creatures. Her daughter was extremely, to put it mildly, girly.
This made no sense. But maybe she'd been working too hard. After all, she was a single mother trying to raise a daughter. She was lucky her older sister and her family were willing to help out, even let Sally stay with them sometimes.
She would have to stop off at the store after she dropped off Sally and buy some new pairs. But for today...what choice did she have? No one could see them under her clothes.
Sharon was a real estate agent and had several showings that day. For now, she got dressed, being sure to cover up the Hello Kitty, and headed downstairs.
