Meanwhile Jon was waiting for Karyn outside the school. It had been a bit of weird day.
Jon discovered that his schedule had now been switched with Karyn's, so he had to go to her classes...which meant he had no idea what his assignments were. Fortunately, homework he didn't remember doing was in his bag.
Jon also discovered that many of Karyn's female friends were treating him like he was 'one of the girls'. And after hearing way too much about someone's latest crush, Jon was desperate to try to find a way to fix all of this.
When he showed up at their usual meeting place, Karyn was already sitting there waiting for him, looking at her watch. "Hey Jon," She said, greeting him. "Ready to go?" She asked.
Jon nodded and they starting walking. "Want to hang out at my place?" Karyn asked. Normally, he invited her to his house, but at this point Jon wasn't surprised anymore. "Erm, sure." Jon said.
"Listen, I've been thinking," Karyn announced as they walked.
"Oh? What about?" Jon asked.
"You," Karyn replied "You know how you've been insisting that we're swapping with each other?"
"But Karyn, we are!" Jon insisted. "I just don't get why this is happening or how come no one else notices but me."
"That's how the stone works," Karyn said. "If you made a wish on it and I wasn't there...I would believe whatever you wished for had always been. It doesn't explain how things keep changing. My stone is hidden in my room and only I know where it is. So...when did you wish on it?"
"Your stone?" Jon repeated. This time he was shocked, partly because he hadn't thought about the stone all day. "So now you have my stone as well?"
"Jon, what are you talking about?" Karyn asked, shocked by Jon's outburst. "My grandpa gave it to me before he died remember? I showed you the letter and everything."
"No," Jon said firmly. "It's my stone and I showed it to you. That's how you ended up with long blond hair and big breasts!"
Karyn failed to stifle a laugh. "Me!? Blonde hair and big breasts!? Do I look like I have either of those things?"
Jon looked at her. Her hair was short and not blond and her chest...her chest was...Jon hadn't noticed that over the course of the day, he had changed even more. His hair now fell down past his shoulders and was blonde, and he filled out the bra he was wearing nicely. "No...but....it was you..."
"Why would I wish for those, Jon?" Karyn asked, more seriously.
"Because you're jealous of Sarah McMillan."
"Why would I be jealous of Sarah? Seriously?" Karyn asked. "I'm not picking on you, Jon...It makes no sense to me."
"This is impossible...I don't have breasts..."
"Then what do you call those?" Karyn asked. "Love handles?"
"Karyn!!" Jon yelled.
She got serious. "Hey, come on Jon calm down. Let's go and see if we can fix this...whatever this is." Jon nodded and followed Karyn, still in wonder of his breasts and hair. He wondered if they were still heading to his house or if it was Karyn's now
