They arrived at Jon's and he couldn't stop staring at Karyn. Opening the door he saw his mom sat watching TV, "Hi guys, have you been cheerleading again today, how's it going?" She asked Karyn. Jon decided to get changed.
"yeah good thanks, I got to be acting captain during rehearsals for the big game next week." Kahn smiled sitting down. "So do you guys have any plans?" She asked, "Yeah we are heading to Mr McMillans for extra study." Karen replied.
Jon ran down stairs, "Not at work today mom?" Jon asked. "No, Zoe was sent home from School for smoking, I had to pick her up. She's such a handful." His mom replied.
"Speak of the devil" she added as a stropy 14 year old came down the stairs, her hair was black and in pigtails, her heavily made up face pale with black eyeshadow and lipstick, she was wearing a purple corset and a black skirt. "I'm off out to Athenas" she said.
"no you are not, you will go wi Jon and Karyn" she said, "That's ok with you guys right? I have to get some shopping and get dinner started ready for your father" she asked Jon and Karyn. Jon sighed, "Sure, I'm sure Mr McMillan will find something for her to do as we study" Ding Dong went the doorbell. Jon answered it, "Hi Sarah".
Sarah had got changed into jeans and a t-shirt, she felt very strange, she had planned on handing out with Biff and Steve and some of the girls. "Hi Karyn, how was cheerleading" she asked, trying to avoid the fact that she was going to destroy her street cred and go studying wi Jon. "yeah really good" Karyn smiled at her compertition.
"well you guys have fun, I'm off." Said. Jon's mother and they all left the house. "is the freak coming" Sarah asked. "hey bitch, go fuck yourself" smiled Zoe. "Yeah, hope that's ok with your uncle." Jon said.
Arriving at the McMillan house David let them in and got them all settled, he had marked a new pentagram in the attic ready, but had been told that he would only need Jon and his sister.
He didn't understand why, but during the session he got Sarah and Karyn reading and asked Zoe to help him upstairs. Climbing the ladder to the loft Zoe noticed the red glow, "cool, are you doing a summoning?" Asked the goth, finding the evening becoming much more interesting. Inside the attic she stepped towards the glowing pentagram when suddenly she bumped her nose, feeling ahead she felt a wall even though the air seemed clear, she went back and bumped her nose again.
"Finally, don't try to escape young one, ere is no way out" came the voice of a woman. Zoe slowly turned to see the fire reflected in the eyes of a naked woman. She looked down to see a blue glow emanating from a pentagram beneath her "What the fuck" she screamed and tried to escape looking like a mime as she felt around the confines of her prison. "Now call for Jon" came the voice of the woman.
David fetched. Jon, "Your sister could do with a hand, you girls wait there I'm sure we will manage the three of us." He smiled. jo got up from his textbook and headed upstairs with the teacher. Inside the attic he saw the mysterious lights blue and red, but it was to dark. "what's going on, I wish the room was lit up" he said panicking and holding up the stone.
A flash, then brightness, a naked woman with shapely curves stood at the far end of the attic, she was bold except for two horn and she had a long spiked tail, her seductive face smiled, her black eyes like mirrors reflecting some unseen fire. Next to her was his sister, dressed in her gothic clothes on her knees desperately clawing at the air, her fingers bloody as though scratching at a wall. David was putting on a robe covered in little bells. "what the fuck is going on." Jon said, quickly working out a wish.
"THE RING SHALL LET ITS SELF BE KNOWN" came a loud voice in Jon's head. He could tell the other had heard it too. The stone burnt in his hand and changed into a golden ring, carved with words written in a strange language. "the ring" David cried going for it. "I wish noby could take the ring from me" Jon said as it appeared on his finger. David pulled on it. "SIT DOWN FOOL" came e voice.
"I wish Xoe was free and that me Zoe, Karyn and Sarah were at home." Nothing happened. The daemon laughed. "the ring cannot recover people from my dimension, your sister is stuck".
"No, I wish the pentagram was gone... I wish Zoe free... I wish the Daemon banished... I wish I understood why my wishes are not working" Jon said ever more frustrated, but then he knew, Xoe now belonged to the monster. "What do you want" he asked.
"your sister will be my mother and bring me into this world, in exchange for David having the power of the ring." She said.
"ummm, no and no, try again"Jon replied.
"I'm sorry Jon, that is the only offer, I will take her with me otherwise and she will spend eternity in pain outside of your reach." She replied.
"what about my ring" Interupted David, again trying to take it from Jon. "I wish David would not be a ole to speak or make wishes in any way." Said Jon "I wish he would sit down and stop touching me until I leave this attic" he added, the ring flashed again and David was sat in a chair next to his books.
"I refuse for you to use my sister in such a way." Jon said thinking quick.
"then find me another virgin and bring her here, when you give David the ring I will then release your sister as part of our original agreement." The woman suggested.
But Jon had worked it out the blue pentagram must have been safe a bridge between worlds, maybe the ring didn't work on this side but it might work on the other.
